Supporting Survivor‐Centered Care Through Digital Health Integration

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Survivors of childhood cancer face barriers to receiving guideline‐based, long‐term follow‐up care. Two digital tools, Passport for Care (PFC) and Cancer SurvivorLink (SurvivorLink), address complementary gaps by enabling tailored survivorship care plan (SCP) generation, updating, storage, and sharing.

Chemoautotrophy at Deep-Sea Vents: Past, Present, and Future [PDF]

open access: yesOceanography, 2012
Chemolithoautotrophic microorganisms are at the nexus of hydrothermal systems by effectively transferring the energy from the geothermal source to the higher trophic levels.

Upper Crustal Structure of Superfast‐Spread Oceanic Crust Exposed at the Pito Deep Rift: Implications for Seafloor Spreading

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, 2023
A tectonic window into the upper 2,000 m of oceanic crust generated at the superfast spreading (∼142 mm/yr) southern East Pacific Rise exposes a continuous layered structure of basaltic lavas and sheeted dikes over gabbroic rocks.

Models of stress at mid-ocean ridges and their offsets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
This thesis aims to investigate the stresses at mid-ocean ridge offsets, and particularly at the particular class of offsets represented by oceanic microplates. Amongthese, the Easter microplate is one of the best surveyed.

Crustal accretion at a spreading rate end-member, the Mid-Cayman Spreading Center : insights from seismic data, gravity, and geochemistry

open access: yes, 2022
Ocean crustal accretion is an important Earth process, affecting the global heat budget, geochemical cycles, and life on Earth. New crust is produced at divergent plate boundaries, or spreading centers, at a range of full plate separation rates from ...

Therapeutic Apheresis in Nigeria: A Multi‐Center Summary of Abstracts From the Inaugural Nigerian Society for Apheresis Scientific Meeting

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Therapeutic apheresis (TA) is an established treatment modality for hematologic, neurologic, and immunologic disorders, yet access remains severely limited in sub‐Saharan Africa. Donor apheresis, including platelet apheresis collection from healthy donors, represents an important complementary modality supporting blood product ...

Recent Advances in Multichannel Seismic Imaging for Academic Research in Deep Oceanic Environments [PDF]

open access: yesOceanography, 2012
Academic research using marine multichannel seismic (MCS) methods to investigate processes related to Earth's oceanic crust has made substantial advances in the last decade.

Vertical depletion of ophiolitic mantle reflects melt focusing and interaction in sub-spreading-center asthenosphere

open access: yesNature Communications, 2022
Upward depletion of ophiolitic mantle is produced by melt-peridotite reaction with lateral melt/rock ratio variations in an asthenospheric upwelling column, which flows to become the horizontal oceanic lithospheric mantle under spreading centers.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Recent Seismic Studies at the East Pacific Rise 8°20'–10°10'N and Endeavour Segment: Insights into Mid-Ocean Ridge Hydrothermal and Magmatic Processes [PDF]

open access: yesOceanography, 2012
As part of the suite of multidisciplinary investigations undertaken by the Ridge 2000 Program, new multichannel seismic studies of crustal structure were conducted at the East Pacific Rise (EPR) 8°20'–10°10'N and Endeavour Segment of the Juan de Fuca ...
