An interesting case of angiogenesis in cavernous hemangioma

open access: yesIndian Journal of Ophthalmology, 2016
Cavernous hemangioma is the most common orbital tumor in adult. There is lot of literatures for clinicopathological features of this tumor. These tumors had been studied for the model of angiogenesis in many of the experimental setups.

A Novel Brain Penetrable Nanocarrier Delivers Brain‐Derived Neurotrophic Factor to Treat Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A novel blood‐brain barrier‐penetrating terpolymer nanoparticle to deliver brain‐derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease (AD) is designed. The BDNF‐TPN significantly enhances BDNF accumulation in the brain following intravenous injection, reduces apoptosis and neuroinflammation, thus promoting neuronal survival and ...

3D‐Printed Multidimensional Bionic Mg‐MC/PLGA Composite for Tailored Repair of Segmental Long Bone Defects

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study develops 3D‐printed Mg‐MC/PLGA scaffolds with varying Mg concentrations (0–20%). The 5% Mg scaffold shows optimal cytocompatibility, osteogenic activity in vitro, and significantly enhances bone regeneration in rabbits, improving bone volume and mechanical strength.

Native chick laminin-4 containing the beta 2 chain (s-laminin) promotes motor axon growth. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
After denervation of muscle, motor axons reinnervate original synaptic sites. A recombinant fragment of the synapse specific laminin beta 2 chain (s-laminin) was reported to inhibit motor axon growth.

An Innovative “Tooth‐On‐Chip” Microfluidic Device Emulating the Structure and Physiology of the Dental Pulp Tissue

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a “tooth‐on‐chip” device that mimics dental pulp tissue. By co‐culturing key cell types, it recreates vascular networks, stem cell niches, the odontoblast/dentine interface, and trigeminal innervation. This innovative platform provides a unique model of dental pulp structure and physiology, with significant potential for accelerating

Coordinated Development of Immune Cell Populations in Vascularized Skin Organoids from Human Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Vascularized skin organoids are developed from human induced pluripotent stem cells and contain macrophages, Langerhans cells, and neutrophils. Vascularized skin organoids offer a transformative platform to model skin biology and enable mechanistic investigations of inflammatory and hematologic skin disorders.
