Suppression of spurious lateral modes in thickness-excited FBAR resonators

IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 2005
Thin film bulk acoustic wave resonators (FBAR) utilize thickness-excited modes in which the resonant frequency is determined by the thickness of the structure and the wave velocity of the mode used. Unfortunately, other resonant modes also may be excited in the device.

Miniaturized Parallel Coupled-Line Filter-Antenna With Spurious Response Suppression

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2011
In this letter, a novel miniaturized integrated filter-antenna (IFA) module with dual-band filtering response is proposed. By controlling the open stub of the bandpass filter (BPF) over the antenna slot, its intrinsic band-gap characteristic helps suppressing the high-order spurious. A prototype IFA is designed and experimentally characterized.

Multi-strip resonator BPF with extended spurious suppression in LTCC structure -proposal of new concept to suppress spurious response in BPF-

2009 Asia Pacific Microwave Conference, 2009
A new comprehensive method to suppress the spurious modes in a BPF is proposed taking the multi-strip resonator BPF as an example. It consists of disturbing the resonant frequency, coupling coefficient and external Q of the higher-order modes at the same time.

Dual-Behavior Resonator (DBR) filters with spurious responses suppression

2006 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference, 2006
This paper deals with the design of fourth-order dual-behavior resonator (DBR) filters with an integrated 3rd-order low-pass filter as central inverter and two capacitive-coupled dual behavior resonator (CCDBRs) filters. Our goal was the control of the spurious resonances on each side of the bandpass response associated to DBR filters.

Low Cost SAW Convolver with High Spurious Suppression

1980 Ultrasonics Symposium, 1980
Techniques have been developed for producing low cost monolithic SAW convolvers with excellent spurious suppression characteristics. Devices have been fabricated with 30 MHz bandwidth and processing times of 4 us and 15.8 vs which have exhibited 40 dB suppression of unwanted spurious responses.

Suppression of spurious modes in high power travelling wave tubes

1982 International Electron Devices Meeting, 1982
The main task of this work was to establish suitable means to suppress band edge oscillations in broad band coupled-cavity TWT's. The electric field flux lines in the slow wave structure have been calculated by means of conformal mapping. In the operating range, only transversal waves are existent, whereas at the upper cut-off frequency also E-modes ...

Suppression of Spurious Modes in FBAR-Resonators

2007
