Parallel coupled CPW filters for spurious band suppression

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2010
AbstractModified coplanar waveguide (CPW) edge‐coupled band‐pass filters with floating conductor strips printed below the coupled‐line sections are proposed. These structures allow one to suppress the first undesired spurious passband associated with the nonhomogeneous nature of the dielectric in CPW structures.

Resonator cross-coupled bandpass filters with spurious suppression

Proceedings of the 9th International Symposium on Antennas, Propagation and EM Theory, 2010
A direct and cross cascade of coupled microwave filter using an open loop resonator are proposed. This paper presents theirs efficiency are enhancement by employing the quadruply-step impedance transmission lines compensated parallel-coupled line. The spurious responses are occurred.

Microstrip Wilkinson power divider with multi-spurious suppression

IEEE Middle East Conference on Antennas and Propagation (MECAP 2010), 2010
This paper presents a new technique for suppressing multi-spurious passbands of microstrip Wilkinson power divider by means of multi-band defected ground structure (DGS). This new defected ground structure is a multi-band-reject resonator which is realized by etching U-shape slots in the ground plane.

Spurious emission and arc suppression in electron guns

2016 IEEE International Vacuum Electronics Conference (IVEC), 2016
Electron guns for RF sources typically use barium dispenser cathodes to produce electron emission. Barium and oxygen diffuse to the emission surface whenever the cathode is hot to replace that lost by evaporation. The barium combines with the oxygen to form barium oxide, which reduces the surface work function.

Microstrip Coupled Line Filters with Spurious Band Suppression

PIERS Online, 2007
Passband microstrip coupled line fllters are widely used in daily microwave en- gineering practice. These fllters present an undesired pass band at twice the design central frequency of the fllter. Two simple methods to suppress this drawback are reported in this com- munication.

4E-3 Spurious Mode Suppression in BAW Resonators

2006 IEEE Ultrasonics Symposium, 2006
Designing bulk acoustic wave resonators for RF filter applications is governed by the need for a high quality factor (Q-value), a large piezoelectric coupling and the purity of the main resonance. The most powerful method to suppress spurious modes is terminating the edges of the resonators by a specific border region with a different eigenresonance ...

Suppressing ripple distortions and spurious pistons in phase-shifting interferometry

Journal of the Optical Society of America A, 2020
In this paper, we present new phase-shifting algorithms (PSAs) that suppress the ripple distortions and spurious pistons in phase-shifting interferometry. These phase errors arise when non-uniform phase-shifting interferograms are processed with PSAs that assume uniform phase shifts. By modeling the non-uniform phase shifts as a

Wideband band-pass filters with spurious band suppression

2010 International Conference on Wireless Communications & Signal Processing (WCSP), 2010
In this paper, we investigate the cause of the second harmonic of the parasitic pass-band of coupled-serial-shunted lines band-pass filters. Filters are employed substrate suspension, wavy-edge coupling, ring resonators, and a combination of the wavy-edge coupling and ring resonators to suppress the harmonic pass-band.

Suppression of spurious signals in thermal MEMS gyroscope

2012 IEEE Sensors, 2012
This paper proposes a way of suppressing the confounding effect of acceleration and gravity on the measurement of rotation by the thermal MEMS (Micro-ElectroMechanical Systems) gyroscope [1]. Gravity, like acceleration, induces convection currents within the device, and the position of these convection currents changes as the two heaters within the ...

Hairpin bandpass filter with broadband spurious-response suppression

2011 Loughborough Antennas & Propagation Conference, 2011
This paper describes a novel but simple technique for suppressing spurious passbands inherent in conventional hairpin-line bandpass filters. The technique proposed comprises loading the hairpin with an open-loop square ring slot in the ground plane located in the proximity of the input and output.
