Visualization Techniques of Differentially Heated Lid-Driven Square Cavity [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2020
In the present study, an attempt is made to explore the flow field inside the differentially heated lid-driven square cavity. The governing equations along with boundary conditions are solved numerically. The simulated results (100 ≤ Re ≤ 1000 and 0.001 ≤

Entropy Generation Optimization for Rarified Nanofluid Flows in a Square Cavity with Two Fins at the Hot Wall [PDF]

open access: yesEntropy, 2019
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is utilized to study entropy generation for the rarefied steady state laminar 2-D flow of air-Al2O3 nanofluid in a square cavity equipped with two solid fins at the hot wall.

Square-lattice photonic-crystal vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers

open access: goldOptics Express, 2004
The single mode square lattice photonic-crystal vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers (PC-VCSELs) are proposed and demonstrated. Square-lattice photonic-crystal patterns of various lattice constants are introduced on top mirrors of VCSELs having two different current apertures.

Crosstalk Reduction in Square Cavities

open access: greenIEEE Photonics Journal, 2009
Theoretically and experimentally, we demonstrate that low crosstalk between two crossed line-defect waveguides formed in a square lattice photonic crystal (PC) structure can be achieved using a resonant cavity at the intersection area. The PC resonator consists of cubic air-holes in silicon air-holes.

NANOFLUID NATURAL CONVECTION IN A BAFFLED SQUARE CAVITY [PDF]

open access: yesمجله مدل سازی در مهندسی, 2019
In this article the natural convection of nano-fluid water - copper in a square cavity has been studied numerically. The left wall is maintained at high temperature ,right wall is maintained at low temperature and the other walls are adiabatic.
