Numerical Analysis of Thermal Non-Equilibrium in Porous Medium Subjected to Internal Heating

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
Thermal non-equilibrium in porous medium is a prevailing condition when discrepancy of temperature exists between the two phases. The solution of a thermal non-equilibrium model requires that the two heat transport equations corresponding to fluid and ...

Scattering of Elastic Waves in a Quasi-one-dimensional Cavity: Theory and Experiment

open access: yes, 2013
We study the scattering of torsional waves through a quasi-one-dimensional cavity both, from the experimental and theoretical points of view. The experiment consists of an elastic rod with square cross section.

Free convection in a square wavy porous cavity with partly magnetic field: a numerical investigation

open access: yesScientific Reports
Natural convection in a square porous cavity with a partial magnetic field is investigated in this work. The magnetic field enters a part of the left wall horizontally. The horizontal walls of the cavity are thermally insulated. The wave vertical wall on

Excess-noise dependence on intracavity aperture shape [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
In lasers with nonorthogonal eigenmodes the excess-noise factor K can be large, especially in unstable-cavity lasers with hard-edged intracavity apertures.

Z‐Scheme Water Splitting Systems Based on Solid‐State Electron Conductors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines the latest advances in Z‐scheme overall water splitting (OWS) systems for solar hydrogen production. These systems consist of suspended or immobilized hydrogen evolution photocatalysts (HEPs) and oxygen evolution photocatalysts (OEPs).

Double Helical Plasmonic Antennas

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Plasmonic double helical antennas funnel circularly polarized light to the nanoscale, offering strong chiroptical interaction and directional light emission. Extending a single helix design tool, this study combines numerical modeling with experimental validation, revealing large, broadband dissymmetry factors in the visible range.
