Failure Characteristic and Stability Control of Gob‐Side Entry Retention With Narrow Roadside Filling Wall

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 4, Page 2137-2152, April 2026.
A novel collaborative control technology of gob‐side entry retention with narrow roadside filling wall is proposed, wherein anchoring end of anchor cable must penetrate the boundary line of stress peak (plastic zone). ABSTRACT Gob‐side entry retention represents a major technological innovation in the history of coal mining, offering numerous ...

Cell‐MICS: Detecting Immune Cells With Label‐Free Two‐Photon Autofluorescence and Deep Learning

open access: yesJournal of Biophotonics, Volume 19, Issue 4, April 2026.
We demonstrate multiphoton imaging with computational specificity for label‐free cell identification (cell‐MICS). Based on the intrinsic contrast of two‐photon induced autofluorescence from metabolic proteins, a deep neural network is able to distinguish various different immune cell types. The system's performance is stable and efficient.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Swampland: The Cosmologist's Handbook to the String‐Theoretical Swampland Programme

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 74, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract String theory has strong implications for cosmology, implying the absence of a cosmological constant, ruling out single‐field slow‐roll inflation, and that black holes decay. The origins of these statements are elucidated within the string‐theoretical swampland programme.

Multiple Photon Subtraction on Light with Tunable Intensity Correlations

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 9, Issue 4, April 2026.
Subtracting photons from bunched classical light paradoxically increases its intensity. This systematic study combines theory and experiment to map photon subtraction effects across Gaussian optical fields with tunable g(2)${\rm g}^{(2)}$(0) from 1.00 to 2.85. Beam‐splitter‐based heralded detection confirms the transformation ξ→ξ$\xi \rightarrow \xi$ +
