Superconducting properties of Al wires deposited on SrTiO3 and LaAlO3/SrTiO3 substrates

Materials Today: Proceedings, 2020
Abstract We report the superconducting properties of Aluminium (Al) wires deposited on different substrates. The substrates selected are the band insulator of SrTiO3 (STO) and the 2DEG system of LaAlO3/SrTiO3 (LAO/STO). Al wires were prepared from the respective films using focused ion beam assisted milling.

SrTiO3 glass ceramics

Journal of Materials Science, 1988
The dielectric properties of the strontium titanate aluminosilicate glass-ceramics described in the previous paper have been investigated over the frequency range of 10 to 1000 kHz and temperature range of −170 to 200° C. The dielectric properties were strongly dependent on the crystallization conditions, which determined the amounts of SrTiO3 and ...

First principle study of SrTiO3 (001) surface and adsorption of NO on SrTiO3 (001)

Applied Surface Science, 2007
Abstract The results of first-principles calculations about the two possible terminations of (0 0 1) surface of SrTiO3 perovskite and adsorption of NO on SrTiO3 (0 0 1) surface were presented. Both surface parameters (atomic structures and electronic configurations) and adsorption parameters (bond, energy and charge) of NO on SrTiO3 (0 0 1) surface ...

Mechanism of superconductivity in SrTiO3

Physica B+C, 1981
Abstract Measurements of the resistivity of Nb-doped SrTiO3 show that the two highest LO modes couple most strongly to the conduction electrons. The conjecture that these polar modes are the dominant ones for superconductivity is confirmed by a remarkable correlation between the carrier-concentration dependence of the corresponding contributions to ...

Local structure studies of (SrTiO3)-O-16 and (SrTiO3)-O-18

2014
In this work we report on the local structure of Ti in (SrTiO3)-O-16 (STO16) and (SrTiO3)-O-18 (STO18) investigated in the low temperature range (6-300 K) by extended x-ray absorption fine structure and x-ray absorption near edge structure (XANES) spectroscopy at Ti K-edge and by optical second harmonic generation (SHG). By comparing XANES of STO16 and

Thermochromism and photoluminescence in SrTiO3

Physica B: Condensed Matter, 1989
Abstract The present paper deals with the study of electrical, optical and luminescent properties of the reduced SrTiO 3 single crystals. It is shown that the annealing in vacuum at T =1100°C results in defects responsible for the increase in electroconductivity, the change in optical absorption coefficient, and in impurity photoluminescence (PL ...

Raman spectroscopy of SrTiO3 polar nanoregions in SrTiO3/AlFeO3 heterostructure

Mesoscience & nanotechnology
We recently demonstrated that the dielectric permittivity of a single-layer SrTiO3 thin film decreases with increasing thickness, and that incorporation of intermediate AlFeO3 layers into an SrTiO3 /AlFeO3 heterostructure mitigates this suppression of dielectric properties.

Structural properties of Ge on SrTiO3 (001) surface and Ge/SrTiO3 interface

Journal of Applied Physics, 2015
Germanium−perovskite oxide heterostructures have a strong potential for next-generation low-voltage and low-leakage metal-oxide semiconductor field-effect transistors. We investigated the atomic structure and electronic properties of Ge on perfect and defective (001) SrTiO3 by first-principle calculations.

Origin of interface magnetism in BiMnO3/SrTiO3 and LaAlO3/SrTiO3 heterostructures

2013
Possible ferromagnetism induced in otherwise nonmagnetic materials has been motivating intense research in complex oxide heterostructures. Here we show that a confined magnetism is realized at the interface between SrTiO3 and two insulating polar oxides, BiMnO3 and LaAlO3.
