Superconducting properties of Al wires deposited on SrTiO3 and LaAlO3/SrTiO3 substrates
Materials Today: Proceedings, 2020Abstract We report the superconducting properties of Aluminium (Al) wires deposited on different substrates. The substrates selected are the band insulator of SrTiO3 (STO) and the 2DEG system of LaAlO3/SrTiO3 (LAO/STO). Al wires were prepared from the respective films using focused ion beam assisted milling.

Thermochromism and photoluminescence in SrTiO3
Physica B: Condensed Matter, 1989Abstract The present paper deals with the study of electrical, optical and luminescent properties of the reduced SrTiO 3 single crystals. It is shown that the annealing in vacuum at T =1100°C results in defects responsible for the increase in electroconductivity, the change in optical absorption coefficient, and in impurity photoluminescence (PL ...

Local structure studies of (SrTiO3)-O-16 and (SrTiO3)-O-18
2014In this work we report on the local structure of Ti in (SrTiO3)-O-16 (STO16) and (SrTiO3)-O-18 (STO18) investigated in the low temperature range (6-300 K) by extended x-ray absorption fine structure and x-ray absorption near edge structure (XANES) spectroscopy at Ti K-edge and by optical second harmonic generation (SHG). By comparing XANES of STO16 and

Raman spectroscopy of SrTiO3 polar nanoregions in SrTiO3/AlFeO3 heterostructure
Mesoscience & nanotechnologyWe recently demonstrated that the dielectric permittivity of a single-layer SrTiO3 thin film decreases with increasing thickness, and that incorporation of intermediate AlFeO3 layers into an SrTiO3 /AlFeO3 heterostructure mitigates this suppression of dielectric properties.

Origin of interface magnetism in BiMnO3/SrTiO3 and LaAlO3/SrTiO3 heterostructures
2013Possible ferromagnetism induced in otherwise nonmagnetic materials has been motivating intense research in complex oxide heterostructures. Here we show that a confined magnetism is realized at the interface between SrTiO3 and two insulating polar oxides, BiMnO3 and LaAlO3.

Publisher Summary Strontium Titanate (SrTiO3) crystallizes in the cubic perovskite structure. Therefore, the optical properties of this material are isotropic. SrTiO3 behaves like a ferroelectric material in the paraelectric phase. This property is referred to as incipient ferroelectric.
