Lambda the Ultimate SSA: Optimizing Functional Programs in SSA
Static Single Assignment (SSA) is the workhorse of modern optimizing compilers for imperative programming languages. However, functional languages have been slow to adopt SSA and prefer to use intermediate representations based on minimal lambda calculi due to SSA's inability to express higher order constructs. We exploit a new SSA construct -- regions

SpaSSA: superpixelwise adaptive SSA for unsupervised spatial-spectral feature extraction in hyperspectral image. [PDF]
Singular spectral analysis (SSA) has recently been successfully applied to feature extraction in hyperspectral image (HSI), including conventional (1-D) SSA in spectral domain and 2-D SSA in spatial domain.

Static Single Assignment (SSA) has become the intermediate program representation of choice in most modern compilers because it enables efficient data flow analysis of scalars and thus leads to better scalar optimizations. Unfortunately not much progress has been achieved in applying the same techniques to array data flow analysis, a very important and

Quality of governance, public spending on health and health status in Sub Saharan Africa : a panel data regression analysis [PDF]
Background The population in Sub Saharan Africa (SSA) suffers poor health as manifested in high mortality rates and low life expectancy. Economic growth has consistently been shown to be a major determinant of health outcomes.

SSA of biomedical signals: A linear invariant systems approach
Singular spectrum analysis (SSA) is considered from a linear invariant systems perspective. In this terminology, the extracted components are considered as outputs of a linear invariant system which corresponds to finite impulse response (FIR) filters ...

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...
