Lattice Distortion‐Driven Metal Exsolution in Perovskite Oxides

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study elucidates the mechanism of lattice distortion‐driven exsolution through a combination of computational simulations and experimental approaches. Lattice distortion facilitates the formation of oxygen vacancies and subsequent metal segregation, thereby enhancing the exsolution behavior.

Filtering of digital terrain models by 2D Singular Spectrum Analysis

open access: yes, 2007
Singular Spectrum Analysis (SSA) has been approved as a model-free technique to analyse time series. SSA can solve different problems such as decomposition into a sum of trend, periodicities, and noise, smoothing, and others.

A Pore or not a Pore? Understanding Pore Size Distributions of Non‐Graphitic Carbon and Atomically‐Dispersed M‐N‐C Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Gassorption analysis of in‐plane functionalized carbons reveals small, uniform ultramicropore signatures as potential artefacts of specific adsorption of the probe gases. Low‐pressure Langmuir fitting links these features to distinct functionalities via adsorption energies, enabling straightforward quantification of otherwise inaccessible surface‐site ...

Improvements to the Psi-SSA representation [PDF]

open access: yesProceedingsof the 10th international workshop on Software & compilers for embedded systems - SCOPES '07, 2007
Modern compiler implementations use the Static Single Assignment representation as a way to efficiently implement optimizing algorithms. However this representation is not well adapted to architectures with a predicated instruction set. The Psi-SSA representation extends the SSA representation such that standard SSA algorithms can be easily adapted to ...

On the globalization of stock markets: An application of VECM, SSA technique and mutual information to the G7? [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper analyzes the process of stock market globalization on the basis of two different approaches: (i) the linear one, based on cointegration tests and vector error correction models (VECM); and (ii) the nonlinear approach, based on Singular ...

Efficient Concentration and Complete Destruction of Short‐Chain and Emerging PFAS in Contaminated Water via Integrated Interface Engineering‐Enhanced Carbon Felt Sorption and Photochemical Processes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A closed‐loop “Concentrate‐Destroy” strategy is presented for completely eliminating short‐chain and emerging PFAS, in which the new 3D PPy@P‐CF is used for efficiently concentrating PFAS and Cu2+‐mediated photodegradation is applied for the completely destroying PFAS in the sorbent regeneration eluent.

SSA elimination after register allocation

open access: yes, 2008
The SSA-form uses a notational abstractions called φ-functions. These instructions have no analogous in actual machine instruction sets, and they must be replaced by ordinary instructions at some point of the compilation path.

Behaviour of metakaolin-based geopolymers incorporating sewage sludge ash (SSA) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In recent years, geopolymers have become a widely researched binding material. There are technological and environmental advantages to using this type of binder instead of Portland cement.

Metal Ion‐Induced Fast Gelation of 2D MnO2 Nanosheets With Cationic Vacancies for Durable Aqueous Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report Mn‐deficient aerogels by inducing the first gelation of MnO2 nanosheets in solution using divalent metal ions as crosslinking agents, thereby inhibiting nanosheet restacking and enhancing surface utilization. Benefiting from abundant Mn vacancies and 3D porous structures, the A‐MnO2 cathode exhibits improved conductivity, fast reaction ...
