Effects of Molecular Weight of Functionalized Liquid Butadiene Rubber as a Processing Aid on the Properties of SSBR/Silica Compounds [PDF]

open access: yesPolymers, 2021
Liquid butadiene rubber (LqBR) which used as a processing aid play a vital role in the manufacturing of high-performance tire tread compounds. However, the studies on the effect of molecular weight, microstructure, and functionalization of LqBR on the properties of compounds are still insufficient.

Effect of Pyrolysis Carbon Black from Waste Tire on the Mechanical Properties of SSBR/BR Blend

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, 2022
AbstractPyrolysis carbon black (PCB) is a main product during the pyrolysis of waste tires. Using PCB to partially replace carbon black has drawn great attention. Herein, PCB is used to replace commercial carbon black N234 in a solution‐polymerized styrene‐butadiene rubber (SSBR)/butadiene rubber (BR)/silica compound used for tire treads. The influence

Incorporation and optimization of RGO and GO in SSBR/NR composites expands their applicability

Polymers and Polymer Composites, 2021
Natural rubber (NR) has poor mechanical properties, which limits its practical application. Filler blending is a simple method that improves the inherent properties of natural rubber and expand its applicability. Using the mechanical mixing process, the effects of graphene oxide (GO) and redox graphene (rGO) on the physical properties, electrical ...

Networking of ionic liquid modified CNTs in SSBR

European Polymer Journal, 2013
Abstract Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were modified using an ionic liquid (IL) and were admixed with a non-polar solution styrene butadiene rubber (SSBR). A local re-agglomeration of ionic liquid modified CNTs (m-CNTs) was found to occur in the SSBR composites, which was confirmed from transmission electron micrographs, as IL cannot couple CNTs and ...

Study on structure and properties of SSBR/SiO2 co‐coagulated rubber and SSBR filled with nanosilica composites

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2008
AbstractThe morphological structure, glass transition, mechanical properties, and dynamic mechanical properties of star‐shaped solution‐polymerized styrene‐butadiene rubber (SSBR) synthesized by a multifunctional organic lithium initiator and SiO2‐SSBR composite (N‐SSBR) prepared through adding a small amount of nanosilica modified by silane coupling ...

Effect of Rotation Speed and Discharging Temperature on SSBR-Silica Interaction

Key Engineering Materials, 2016
The effects of rotor speed and discharging temperature on silica 1165MP-SSBR 5025-2 interaction as well as the mechanical properties and dynamic viscoelasticity are investigated in this work. The result shows that the discharging temperature increases linearly with increase of rotation speed, leading to increase of bound rubber content.

Study on the structure and properties of SSBR with large-volume functional groups at the end of chains

Polymer, 2010
Abstract Solution polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber (SSBR) and SSBR with tert-Butylchlorodiphenylsilane (TBCSi, large-volume functional groups) at the two ends of macromolecular chains (T-SSBR) were prepared by anionic polymerization. The molecular structure parameters of T-SSBR and SSBR were characterized and the ratio of the amount of ...

Affine morphological shape stable boundary regions (SSBR) for image representation

2011 18th IEEE International Conference on Image Processing, 2011
This paper presents a new structure-based interest region detector called Shape-Stable Region Boundaries (SSRB) which we use for object class recognition. The SSRB interest operator detects stable boundary regions within the multi-scale morphological image representation [1].
