Networking of ionic liquid modified CNTs in SSBR
European Polymer Journal, 2013Abstract Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were modified using an ionic liquid (IL) and were admixed with a non-polar solution styrene butadiene rubber (SSBR). A local re-agglomeration of ionic liquid modified CNTs (m-CNTs) was found to occur in the SSBR composites, which was confirmed from transmission electron micrographs, as IL cannot couple CNTs and ...

Effect of Rotation Speed and Discharging Temperature on SSBR-Silica Interaction
Key Engineering Materials, 2016The effects of rotor speed and discharging temperature on silica 1165MP-SSBR 5025-2 interaction as well as the mechanical properties and dynamic viscoelasticity are investigated in this work. The result shows that the discharging temperature increases linearly with increase of rotation speed, leading to increase of bound rubber content.

Analyses and Experiments of the Schottky Contact Super Barrier Rectifier (SSBR)
IEEE Electron Device Letters, 2017In this letter, the electrical characteristics of the Schottky contact super barrier rectifier (SSBR) are explained and verified by simulations and experiments. In addition to an MOS channel operating as a super barrier, there is an indirect Schottky contact in the SSBR for electrons.

The effect of accelerator contents on the vulcanizate structures of SSBR/silica vulcanizates
Composite Interfaces, 2016AbstractPhysical properties of rubber compounds are affected by the filler–rubber interaction, filler dispersion in the rubber matrix, and cross-link structure formed during vulcanization. In particular, the cross-link structure is closely related to the physical properties of vulcanizates and has been analyzed using the swelling test and Flory-Rehner ...

Studies on Mechanical Properties and Dynamic Performance of SSBR/CB/Silica Composites
Key Engineering Materials, 2016Carbon black ( CB ) and silica were used as two-component fillers to enhance the practicability of rubber. In this study, the microstructure, mechanical and dynamic properties of solution-polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber ( SSBR ) vulcanizates filled with carbon black and silica were characterized. 50 phr of total hybrid fillers was used as the base.

Structure–Property Correlations of SSBR/BR Blends
2017During the reported project work, ca. 200 different SSBR and SSBR/BR vulcanisates were produced and investigated. During compounding, for each mixture, various processing-related parameters were recorded. Afterwards, the vulcanisation behaviour was characterised by using vulcametry and the last step was to quantify the mechanical and fracture ...

FROG Studies of SSBR: Effects of Anomalous Dispersion near the Exciton Resonance
Nonlinear Optics: Materials, Fundamentals and Applications, 2002The reflected pulses from the Strained Saturable Bragg Reflector (SSBR) at several wavelengths were studied using the Frequency Resolved Optical Gating (FROG) technique and incident pulses with zero, positive, or negative chirp. On the long wavelength side of the exciton resonance, weak wavelength-dependent chirp due to material disperion of the SSBR ...

The Research on the Rheological Properties of SSBR-Based Composites Filled with CB/Silica
Advanced Materials Research, 2013The dynamic viscoelastic properties of solution polymerized styrene-butadiene (SSBR) filled with different proportion of carbon black and silica were studied by using the rubber processing analyzer (RPA2000) and DMA under different scanning conditions.

Influence of silica and silane on the cure behavior in filled SSBR compounds
2023The crosslinking of elastomers through the vulcanization process creates a three-dimensional network making rubber suitable for many engineering applications. Curing agents are used to chemically link polymer chains during this process, and the extent of crosslinking is known to be measured by the MDR torque.
