Dispensability of HPF1 for cellular removal of DNA single-strand breaks. [PDF]
In response to DNA damage, the histone PARylation factor 1 (HPF1) regulates PARP1/2 activity, facilitating serine ADP-ribosylation of chromatin-associated factors.

Influence of storage time and amplitude sweeps on flocculation behavior in silica-filled SSBR compounds [PDF]
The Payne effect reflects the breakdown of filler-filler networks in rubber compounds, particularly in silica-filled systems. However, during storage, time-dependent flocculation of silica clusters leads to an increase in storage modulus, thereby ...

Effect of Silane-to-Silica Ratio on Dissipative Properties of SSBR Compound Reinforced by Dual Fillers of Silica and Carbon Black: Experimental Investigation and Mathematical Modeling [PDF]
This study aimed to investigate the effect of the silane-to-silica ratio on the dissipative properties of carbon black (CB)/silica-reinforced SSBR compounds under dynamic loads used as the tread of tires. Six compounds were prepared with a constant total

Mechanisms of DNA Damage Recognition by UDG and PARP1 in the Nucleosome [PDF]
The DNA base-excision repair (BER) pathway shares the second part of its enzymatic chain with the single-strand break (SSB) repair pathway. BER is initiated by a glycosylase, such as UDG, while SSBR is initiated by the multifunctional enzyme PARP1.

Investigation of different ingredients contributing to the cure torque in silica-filled SSBR compounds [PDF]
Chemical crosslinking of elastomers through the vulcanization process creates a three-dimensional network and makes them suitable for many engineering applications. During this reaction, the polymer chains are linked to each other in presence of curing agents.

Abstract This study investigates the impact of carbon nanotube bundles (CNTBs) on the static and dynamic mechanical properties and the electrical conductivity of Soluble Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SSBR) composites. The results show that the CNTBs employed exhibit excellent orientation and dispersion within the rubber matrix.
