Design of a hybrid measure for image similarity: a statistical, algebraic, and information-theoretic approach

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Remote Sensing, 2019
Image similarity or distortion assessment is fundamental to a wide range of applications throughout the field of image processing and computer vision. Many image similarity measures have been proposed to treat specific types of image distortions. Most of

Multi-scale structural similarity index for motion detection

open access: yesJournal of King Saud University: Computer and Information Sciences, 2017
The most recent approach for measuring the image quality is the structural similarity index (SSI). This paper presents a novel algorithm based on the multi-scale structural similarity index for motion detection (MS-SSIM) in videos.

A Comparative Study on Signal Decomposition Techniques for Stimulated Raman Photoacoustic Microscopy

open access: yesJournal of Biophotonics, EarlyView.
Comparison of sO2 maps generated using signal decomposition methods. ABSTRACT In this paper, we present a comparative study of signal decomposition techniques in multispectral photoacoustic microscopy (MS‐PAM) systems that are based on the use of stimulated Raman spectroscopy (SRS).

Exploiting Scattering‐Based Point Spread Functions for Snapshot 5D and Modality‐Switchable Lensless Imaging

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
This paper demonstrates a snapshot 5D and modality‐switchable lensless camera (Diffuser‐mCam), which can encode 2D intensity, multi‐spectral, polarization, and time information into a monochromatic raw data, and subsequently decode it using the compressed sensing algorithm at the sampling rate of 2.5% per channel.

Accelerating Multiparametric Quantitative MRI Using Self‐Supervised Scan‐Specific Implicit Neural Representation With Model Reinforcement

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose To develop a self‐supervised scan‐specific deep learning framework for reconstructing accelerated multiparametric quantitative MRI (qMRI). Methods We propose REFINE‐MORE (REference‐Free Implicit NEural representation with MOdel REinforcement), combining an implicit neural representation (INR) architecture with a model reinforcement ...

High‐Resolution Diffusion‐Weighted Imaging With Self‐Gated Self‐Supervised Unrolled Reconstruction

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose High‐resolution diffusion‐weighted imaging (DWI) is clinically demanding. The purpose of this work is to develop an efficient self‐supervised algorithm unrolling technique for submillimeter‐resolution DWI. Methods We developed submillimeter DWI acquisition utilizing multi‐band multi‐shot EPI with diffusion shift encoding.
