In silicocomparative analysis of SSR markers in plants [PDF]

open access: goldBMC Plant Biology, 2011
AbstractBackgroundThe adverse environmental conditions impose extreme limitation to growth and plant development, restricting the genetic potential and reflecting on plant yield losses. The progress obtained by classic plant breeding methods aiming at increasing abiotic stress tolerances have not been enough to cope with increasing food demands.

Genome survey and SSR analysis of Apocynum venetum. [PDF]

open access: yesBiosci Rep, 2019
Abstract Apocynum venetum is an eco-economic plant that exhibits high stress resistance. In the present paper, we carried out a whole-genome survey of A. venetum in order to provide a foundation for its whole-genome sequencing. High-throughput sequencing technology (Illumina NovaSep) was first used to measure the genome size of A ...

Nonlinear analysis of SSR in wind power plants [PDF]

open access: yesIET Conference Proceedings, 2021
This paper analyzes sub-synchronous resonance (SSR) in fu-ture wind power plants (WPPs) using bifurcation theory, a non-linear analysis approach. SSR, and in particular the Induction Generator Effect (IGE) is likely to occur more frequently as large amounts of wind power are incorporated into power net-works, supported by series compensation to improve

Target SSR-Seq: A Novel SSR Genotyping Technology Associate With Perfect SSRs in Genetic Analysis of Cucumber Varieties [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2019
Simple sequence repeats (SSR) - also known as microsatellites - have been used extensively in genetic analysis, fine mapping, quantitative trait locus (QTL) mapping, as well as marker-assisted selection (MAS) breeding and other techniques. Despite a plethora of studies reporting that perfect SSRs with stable motifs and flanking sequences are more ...

Torsional Interaction Studies on a Power System Compensated by SSSC and Fixed Capacitor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
In this paper, a static synchronous series compensator (SSSC), along with a fixed capacitor, is used to avoid torsional mode instability in a series compensated transmission system.

Analysis of SSR loci and development of SSR primers in Eucalyptus

open access: yesJournal of Forestry Research, 2017
In this study, 28,691 genome sequences and 16,566 expressed sequence tags (ESTs) of Eucalyptus were derived from the GenBank database. A total of 2292 SSR loci were sought out from 1785 effective sequences. Through analyses of SSR loci information, the SSR motif length was negatively correlated with the abundance of the SSRs.
