Polymorphic SSR (Simple-Sequence-Repeat) Markers for Chromosome 20
Chromosome 20-specific simple-sequence-repeat (SSR) markers were developed from a flow-sorted phage library (LL20NS01), subcloned in Bluescript, and screened with a tetranucleotide repeat, (AAAG)6, to identify potentially polymorphic loci. Of 100 clones sequenced, 39 were selected to construct primers. Of these 39, 22 were polymorphic. Reference to the

Market Shares as a Collusive Marker: Evidence From the European Truck Industry
ABSTRACT Collusion theory robustly predicts non‐cartel rivals will raise their prices and increase their output. As a typical cartel cuts back production, its competitors are expected to gain market share during the collusive period and to lose market share in the period following the cartel's demise. We provide empirical support for this prediction by

Abstract Wild Atlantic salmon migrate to sea following completion of a developmental process known as parr‐smolt transformation (PST), which establishes a seawater (SW) tolerant phenotype. Effective imitation of this aspect of anadromous life history is a crucial aspect of commercial salmon production, with current industry practice being marred by ...

ABSTRACT The collapse of the USSR forced newly independent states to forge national identities while grappling with imperial legacies. This study investigates nation‐building strategies in post‐Soviet states during 1990–1999, using the Nation‐Building Policies (NBP) dataset from the ETHNICGOODS project, which includes all socially and politically ...

Transcriptome analysis and development of EST-SSR markers in the mushroom Auricularia heimuer
Auricularia heimuer, the third most frequently cultivated edible mushroom species worldwide, has high medicinal value. However, a shortage of molecular marker hinders the efficiency and accuracy of genetic breeding efforts for A. heimuer. High-throughput
