Quantifying the Effects of an In-Orbit Fragmentation of Space Objects: An Environmental Index for the Space Surveillance and Tracking (SST) Services [PDF]
openIn the framework of the Fragmentation Service of the European SST system, it is important to quickly assess whether a fragmentation event is posing an immediate threat to the assets orbiting in close-by regions of space and if it is going to stress ...

ABSTRACT The biopharmaceutical industry increasingly relies on single‐use technologies (SUT) for operational flexibility. For a long time, SUT was considered more sustainable than stainless‐steel (SST) systems due to water and energy savings. This study re‐evaluates this paradigm via a detailed bottom‐up analysis of the SUT carbon footprint at the 2000

Review of CFD modelling techniques for single‐phase and multiphase flow in static mixers
This review synthesizes computational fluid dynamics (CFD) approaches for static mixers, linking hydrodynamics to pressure drop, particle/droplet distributions, mixing metrics, and heat‐transfer performance to guide modelling choices and design decisions. Abstract Static mixers enable compact and low‐energy intensification.
