CST Is Epistatic With Shieldin to Limit DNA Double‐Strand Break End Resection and Promote Repair During Igh Class Switch Recombination

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Immunology, Volume 55, Issue 4, April 2025.
Here we show that CST and SHLD are required for CSR, while SHLD1‐CTC1 interaction via the SHLD1 LDLP motif is dispensable. Mechanistically, we show that CTC1 and SHLD1 are epistatic during CSR, preventing genetic instability, exacerbated DSB end‐resection, and microhomology‐mediated end‐joining at Igh switching sites.

Stability and regularity of solutions of the Monge-Amp\`ere equation on Hermitian manifolds

open access: yes, 2019
We prove stability of solutions of the complex Monge-Amp\`ere equation on compact Hermitian manifolds, when the right hand side varies in a bounded set in $L^p, p>1$ and it is bounded away from zero. Such solutions are shown to be H\"older continuous. As

Seven up acts as a temporal factor during two different stages of neuroblast 5-6 development [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Drosophila embryonic neuroblasts generate different cell types at different time points. This is controlled by a temporal cascade of HbrKrrPdmrCasrGrh, which acts to dictate distinct competence windows sequentially. In addition, Seven up (Svp), a member

Molecular Epidemiology and Antimicrobial Resistance of Klebsiella pneumoniae Strains Isolated From Dairy Cows in Xinjiang, China

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 11, Issue 1, January 2025.
WGS identified 27 wzi allele types (2 new), 16 K antigen serotypes, 6 O antigen serotypes, 25 sequence types (3 new), 39 antibiotic resistance and 57 virulence genes in Klebsiella pneumoniae from milk samples of cows with and without mastitis. Phylogenetic analysis showed high genomic diversity in K. pneumoniae.

Subspecies typing of Streptococcus agalactiae based on ribosomal subunit protein mass variation by MALDI-TOF MS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Background: A ribosomal subunit protein (rsp)-based matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) method was developed for fast subspecies-level typing of Streptococcus agalactiae (Group B Streptococcus, GBS),

Lateglacial and Holocene palaeoenvironmental evolution of alkaline peatlands in the Somme valley (France): between climate and anthropogenic forcing

open access: yesBoreas, Volume 54, Issue 1, Page 34-59, January 2025.
This study focuses on the morphodynamic evolution of the Somme River (northern France) and the associated alluvial peatlands since the Lateglacial. A multidisciplinary approach was employed, integrating stratigraphy, AMS dating, sedimentology, geochemistry, pollen analysis and macrofossil examination.

Genetic variability of vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium and Enterococcus faecalis isolates from humans, chickens and pigs in Malaysia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE) have been reported to be present in humans, chickens, and pigs in Malaysia. In the present study, representative samples of VRE isolated from these populations were examined for similarities and differences by using
