Bionic stab-resistant body armor based on triangular pyramid structure
A stab-resistant substrate was designed and realized with a triangular pyramidal structure, inspired by the biological armor model in nature. The stab-resistance behavior and dynamic response mechanisms were studied through numerical simulation and ...

Biological and Mechanical Limitations for Chronic Fast‐Scan Cyclic Voltammetry Sensor Design
Real‐time detection of neurochemicals has demonstrated value in the field of neuroscience. However, current methods have limitations for use in the chronic setting, which is often the ideal environment for research. This article discusses these limitations, as well as technologies that have been developed to overcome them, and provides recommendations ...

On Equal Point Separation by Planar Cell Decompositions [PDF]
In this paper, we investigate the problem of separating a set $X$ of points in $\mathbb{R}^{2}$ with an arrangement of $K$ lines such that each cell contains an asymptotically equal number of points (up to a constant ratio). We consider a property of curves called the stabbing number, defined to be the maximum countable number of intersections possible

Progress in Flexible Perovskite Solar Cells: Paving the Way for Scalable Manufacturing
Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are well positioned for a successful market uptake. This is due to an unprecedented improvement of their efficiency and stability since the first report in 2009. In this review paper, the building blocks for the scalable manufacturing and future commercialization of flexible PSCs and their pathway to impact will be ...

This study employs a CFD model to simulate laser cutting of copper current collectors used for Li‐Ion battery production. This model predicts cut edge quality by assessing the influence of power, scanner speed, and foil thickness. Defects are classified and an optimal working area is found.

A simple optical programming technique is developed for fabricating plasmonic nanoantennas in a dual‐layer metasurface by crystallizing the plasmonic phase‐change material In3SbTe2 from the top and through the substrate with a subsequent reamorphization step.

Frequency‐Dependent Demethylation of Cancer DNAs by High‐Power Terahertz Radiation
Effective demethylation of cancer DNA is successfully demonstrated by resonant irradiation with high‐power terahertz (THz) waves at the 10 mW level, combined with metamaterial‐based THz filters. The dependence of spectral filtering on demethylation indicates that the resonant frequency of 1.6 THz of cancer DNAs plays a crucial role in reducing the ...
