Here we reproduce an unpublished essay by Luigi Spaventa written in 1958 when the author was a student at Cambridge. The work presents two sharp criticisms of the theory proposed by Patinkin in his Money, Interest, and Prices with the aim of showing how

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Assessment and Extension Method for Stable Operation Domain of DFIG in Asymmetric Weak Grid
In asymmetric weak grid, there exists a complex coupling path between the positive- and negative-sequences of the impedance between a doubly-fed wind turbine (DFIG) and the grid, leading to intricate interactions.

Toompea Hill stability analysis
On Toompea Hill situated in the center of Tallinn there are several natural, ancient architectural and historical monuments. It has become apparent that the processes in the rock mass caused an unfavorable environmental side effect accompanied by significant subsidence of the Toompea Hill.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

On Considering Unoccupied Sites in Ecological Models
In ecosystems, spatial structure plays a fundamental role in shaping the observed dynamics. In particular, the availability and distribution of unoccupied sites—potential habitats—can strongly affect species persistence.

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.
