Networked control systems toolbox : robust stability analysis made easy

open access: yes, 2012
This paper presents the first prototype of a toolbox developed to automate stability analysis for networked control systems. Specifically, the toolbox can be employed to efficiently verify if a linear time-invariant (LTI) plant and an LTI controller ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Stability criteria for controlled queueing networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We give criteria for the stability of a very general queueing model under different levels of control. A complete classification of stability (or positive recurrence), transience and null-recurrence is presented for the two queue model. The stability and

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Strong practical stability based robust stabilization of uncertain discrete linear repetitive processes

open access: yes, 2013
Repetitive processes are a distinct class of 2D systems of both theoretical and practical interest whose dynamics evolve over a subset of the positive quadrant in the 2D plane. The stability theory for these processes originally consisted of two distinct

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

The implications for the EU and national budgets of the use of EU instruments for macro-financial stability. CEPS Special Report, 4 September 2012 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The euro crisis has forced member states and the EU institutions to create a series of new instruments to safeguard macro-financial stability of the Union.

Hybrid receding–horizon control: formulation and stability analysis

open access: yes, 1999
The stability analysis of an hybrid receding-horizon control scheme for non-linear discrete-time systems is addressed in the paper. The control scheme is composed of a continuous state-feedback controller and a discrete-event supervisor. Such a structure

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Pseudo Desired Plant Approach to The Synthesis of Almost Decoupling Control

open access: yes, 2013
[[abstract]]This paper proposes the pseudo desired plant approach to the almost decoupling control problem. The internal stability of the compensated system is indispensable for most of all control syntheses.
