Robust Autopilot Design with Maximum Stability Radius
2006 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology, 2006This paper presents the robust control design for aircraft autopilot. The controller provides a maximum stability radius to the closed-loop system. The technique uses the notion of complex stability radius and the Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMI) to obtain the feedback controller gain.

Stability radius of linear delay systems
Proceedings of the 1999 American Control Conference (Cat. No. 99CH36251), 1999We study robust stability of linear time delay systems under structured parameter uncertainty. A formula for complex stability radius is derived. We then consider linear positive delay systems and prove that for this class of systems the complex stability radius is equal to the real stability radius which can be computed via a simple formula.

On the Stability Radius of Matrix Polynomials
Linear and Multilinear Algebra, 2002The stability radius of a matrix polynomial P ( λ ) relative to an open region ω of the complex plane and its relation to the numerical range of P ( λ ) are investigated. Using an expression of the stability radius in terms of λ on the boundary of ω and A P ( λ ) m 1 A 2 , a lower bound is obtained.

Some graphical tests for sector stability of fixed polynomials are provided first. These conditions are extended for l p -affine family of polynomials. For p = 2, ∞ the criterion of robust sector stability can be stated in explicit form.

Cation radius and deoxycholic acid polymer-like structure stability
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1967The stability of the polymer-like structure displayed by deoxycholic acid gels under certain conditions has been investigated. The influence of cation dimensions, hydration, and hydrogen bonds is shown. A peculiar behavior of deoxycholic acid quaternary ammonium salts is discussed. Some biological implications are mentioned briefly.
