A Stabilizing Feedback of an Uncertain Control System
2003A nonlinear control system, describing the continuous methane fermentation is considered. By means of a nonlinear coordinate change the control system is transformed into an equivalent form, involving only measurable quantities of the real process. Assuming that the parameters of the model are not exactly known but bounded within intervals, the set of ...

Stability of Saturating Nonlinear Feedback Systems
Journal of the Franklin Institute, 1972Abstract The stability of a general class of saturating nonlinear feedback systems excited by bounded inputs is investigated. Explicit bounds are obtained on the magnitude and duration of the error signal when it shoots out from the unsaturated zone into the saturation zone.

Stability of systems under interference feedback
2009 European Control Conference (ECC), 2009Distributed power control problems in wireless communications can be modeled as a highly nonlinear feedback system. The nonlinear coupling appear when a large number of mobile stations interact through interference and it is well known that this may lead to instabilities.

Stability and feedback stabilization for a class of mixed potential systems
52nd IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2013This paper studies the problems of stability analysis and feedback stabilization design for a class of control affine systems where the drift dynamics is generated by a metriplectic structure. Those systems are composed of a conserved part and a dissipative part and appear, for example, in non-equilibrium thermodynamics.

SELF-TUNING STABILIZATION OF FEEDBACK LINEARIZABLE SYSTEMS
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1992Abstract We consider single-input nonlinear systems with unknown time-varying parameters or disturbances whose bounds are known. Assuming that the undisturbed system is globally feedback lin-earizable and that a triangularity condition holds for the uncertain terms we design a robust global stabilizing state feedback control.

Feedback Stabilization of Linear Diffusion Systems
SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 1983This paper treats the feedback stabilization of linear diffusion systems by using a finite dimensional feedback dynamic controller. We construct a finite dimensional observer using the output functions from sensors, and the control inputs to the system are given by the feedback of the observer output.

Feedback Stabilization of Metriplectic Systems
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2013Abstract This paper considers the problem of stabilizing control affine systems where the drift dynamics is generated by a metriplectic structure. These systems can be viewed as an extension of generalized (or dissipative) Hamiltonian systems, where two potentials, interpreted as generalized energy and entropy, are generating the dynamics.

Feedback stabilization of distributed systems
26th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 1987Abstract : This document considers stabilization (minimum time to the zero solution) of wave and beam equations via endpoint velocity control. In general it considers a control system described by a partial differential equation, with dependent variable denoted w=w(t,x), which admits V= the partial derivative with respect to t as a symmetry generator ...

On Feedback Stabilization of Linear Systems
1986 American Control Conference, 1986Constant gain fixed order controllers for linear systems are considered. A necessary and sufficient condition for the stabilizability of such a system by a chosen order controller is established. When fixed order controllers are designed to be optimal with respect to a quadratic cost, the usual gradient search algorithm requires a starting value which ...
