Regulation and robust stabilization: a behavioral approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this thesis we consider a number of control synthesis problems within the behavioral approach to systems and control. In particular, we consider the problem of regulation, the H! control problem, and the robust stabilization problem. We also study the

Towards ℓ2-stability of discrete-time reset control systems via dissipativity theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This paper proposes conditions on input-output stability of discrete-time reset systems by using some key dissipativity properties. In the continuous-time setting, dissipativity of the base linear system is preserved under reset actions if the storage ...

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Reverse quantum state engineering using electronic feedback loops

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2012
We propose an all-electronic technique to manipulate and control interacting quantum systems by unitary single-jump feedback conditioned on the outcome of a capacitively coupled electrometer and, in particular, a single-electron transistor.

Stabilization of a class of fractional-order nonautonomous systems using quadratic Lyapunov functions

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2018
In this paper, we aim to solve the stabilization problem for a large class of fractional-order nonautonomous systems via linear state feedback control and adaptive control.

On Stabilization of Linear Switched Singular Systems via P-D State Feedback

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Impulsive phenomenon and state jumps at switching instants are inevitable control difficulties in the study of stability for switched singular systems. Proportional-derivative (P-D) state feedback may be an effective way to eliminate impulsive behaviors ...

Stabilisation of hybrid stochastic differential equations by delay feedback control

open access: yes, 2008
This paper is concerned with the exponential mean-square stabilisation of hybrid stochastic differential equations (also known as stochastic dierential equations with Markovian switching) by delay feedback controls.

Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Directed evolution of enzymes at the crossroads of tradition and innovation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An iterative cycle of data‐driven enzyme optimization comprising four stages: genetic diversification of a template enzyme, expression of protein variants, high‐throughput evaluation, and machine‐learning‐guided redesign of the next variant library.
