A design method for DR-stabilized MESFET oscillators [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
In this paper a method is proposed for the design of DR-stabilized MESFET oscillators where several diferent design objectives, associated both to stability and output power, can simultaneously be taken into account.

Temperature‐Driven Emission Redistribution of Yb2+ in SrB4O7 Enables Highly Sensitive Optical Thermometry Supported by Multiple Linear Regression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel optical thermometer exploits the rare UV emission of Yb2+ ions in a SrB4O7 host, enabling highly sensitive, non‐contact temperature measurements from 80 to 420 K. The applied multiple linear regression (MLR) analysis results in a multiple increase in the resulting temperature sensitivity.

High-power asynchronous midinfrared optical parametric oscillator frequency combs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We introduce a new stabilization scheme providing a pair of high-power, carrier-envelope-offset (CEO) frequency-stabilized, broadband, asynchronous frequency combs operating at 3.3 mu m.

Bandgap‐Engineered PtxTey:Ag2Te Composite Quantum Dots Enable Programmable NIR‐II Imaging and Photothermal‐Immune Synergistic Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A bandgap‐engineered PtxTey:Ag2Te quantum dot platform enables tunable NIR‐IIb emission for deep‐tissue imaging and mild photothermal therapy. Conjugation with αPD‐L1 confers dual tumor targeting and real‐time monitoring of PD‐L1 dynamics. Mild photothermal modulation induces immune reprogramming, enhancing checkpoint blockade efficacy and achieving ...

Aromaticity‐Engineered Open‐Shell Radical Anions for Air‐Stable Doublet Emission in N‐Annulated Perylene Diimide

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Open‐shell type radical anions with stable doublet emission have been synthesized that feature aromaticity engineering, through‐space charge‐transfer (TSCT), and electro(fluoro)chromism. ABSTRACT We report the doublet emissive open‐shell radical anions, where the N‐annulated perylene diimide (PDIN–H) is functionalized with aromatic rings.

Histone Modification Complex JMJ704‐HDA709 Negatively Regulates Salinity Tolerance in Rice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the rice histone demethylase JMJ704 interacts with HDA709―a H3K9ac deacetylase characterized herein―to form a chromatin‐modifying complex. Under salt stress, OsWRKY72 recruits this complex through interaction with JMJ704 to target loci, repressing the expression of oxidative stress and salt‐responsive genes via removal of ...

X-ray comb generation from nuclear-resonance-stabilized x-ray free-electron laser oscillator for fundamental physics and precision metrology

open access: yesPhysical Review Special Topics. Accelerators and Beams, 2015
An x-ray free-electron laser oscillator (XFELO) is a next-generation x-ray source, similar to free-electron laser oscillators at VUV and longer wavelengths but using crystals as high-reflectivity x-ray mirrors.

Design of Low Phase Noise 7.7 GHz Dielectric Resonator Oscillator

open access: yes, 2021
In this work, a dielectric resonator stabilized oscillator with output frequency at 7.7 GHz is designed, simulated and measured. The oscillator topology is based on the series feedback dielectric resonator oscillator (DRO) structure.

Beyond Electrostatics: Anion‐π+ Orbital Hybridization Underpins High‐Performance Chloride Storage in Poly(arylamine) Organic Cathodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The fundamental nature of anion storage in p‐type organic cathodes is elucidated using rigid poly(arylamine) frameworks. This study reveals a hybrid covalent‐ionic mechanism for anion‐π+ interactions, driven by synergistic orbital hybridization and electrostatic attraction.
