Nonexistence of stable currents

Annals of Global Analysis and Geometry, 1995
In the present paper the author investigates the nonexistence of stable integral currents in a compact hypersurface with positive Ricci curvature in a Euclidean space \(\mathbb{R}^{m + 1}\). Furthermore, a vanishing theorem concerning the homology group is obtained.

Non-Existence of Stable Currents in Hypersurfaces

Southeast Asian Bulletin of Mathematics, 2000
Let \(M\) be an \(m\)-dimensional compact hypersurface in the Euclidean space. The author studies the non-existence of stable integral \(p\)-currents in \(M\). The method is due to \textit{H. B. Lawson} and \textit{J. Simons}, Ann. Math. (2) 98, 427-450 (1973; Zbl 0283.53049)]. Related results can also be found in the reviewer's paper [Colloq. Math. 73,

Minimising currents and the stable norm in codimension one

Comptes Rendus Mathematique, 2001
Let \(T\) be a closed current of dimension \((n-1)\) on the \(n\)-dimensional Riemannian manifold \(M\). Suppose that \(T\) is of locally finite mass.

A stable current-to-frequency convertor

Journal of Physics E: Scientific Instruments, 1972
This note describes a current-to-frequency convertor which provides continuous integration of an analogue input signal to give a digital output suitable for input to a scaler. The extremely stable peak-point voltage of a unijunction transistor is utilized to give an output stability of less than 0.05% and a short-term equivalent voltage drift of less ...

Stable Angina Pectoris: Current Medical Treatment

Current Pharmaceutical Design, 2013
Stable angina represents the main symptom of established coronary artery disease. In addition atherosclerosis is the common pathological substrate of chronic stable angina as well as acute coronary syndromes. The aim of stable angina management is the symptomatic relief and the secondary prevention.

Ultra Stable Semiconductor Laser Current Source

Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics/Quantum Electronics and Laser Science Conference and Photonic Applications Systems Technologies, 2006
Life-test for high reliability laser pumps demands highly stable current sources. Telops has engineered a novel current source that meets stabilities of 200 ppm/1000 hr. This paper presents the design and assessment of performance.
