Reproducibility of stable isotope-labeled tracer measures of VLDL-triglyceride and VLDL-apolipoprotein B-100 kinetics

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2007
To gain insight into the mechanisms regulating plasma lipid homeostasis, FFA, VLDL-triglyceride (TG), and VLDL-apolipoprotein B-100 (apoB-100) kinetics are commonly assessed using stable isotope-labeled tracer methods.

Separation of postprandial lipoproteins: improved purification of chylomicrons using an ApoB100 immunoaffinity method

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2020
Elevated levels of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins (TRLs), both fasting and postprandial, are associated with increased risk for atherosclerosis. However, guidelines for treatment are defined solely by fasting lipid levels, even though postprandial lipids

AARS1‐Mediated H3K27 Lactylation Rewires Glycolysis to Sustain Aggressive and Recurrent Bladder Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AARS1 drives PI3K–AKT–mTOR‐dependent glycolysis in bladder cancer, promoting lactate accumulation, increased lactylation, H3K27la enrichment at the HK2 promoter, and HK2 transcription. HK2 reinforces glycolysis, sustaining a metabolic–epigenetic program associated with tumor progression, recurrence, and metastasis.

A Three component Hydrograph Separation with Stable Isotopes Based on Constrained Least Square Method—A Case Study of Hailuogou Glacier

open access: yes工程科学与技术, 2016
:Constrained least square method(LSM) was introduced to conduct three or more components hydrograph separation with stable isotopes considering that just one tracer was needed, while more than one independent tracers were required by end member mixing ...

Oligosaccharides With Defined Glycosidic Bonds Shape Gut Microbial Succession and Metabolism Via Bond‐Specific Microbial Responders

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Oligosaccharides with defined glycosidic bonds drive divergent gut microbial succession and shape unique metabolic profiles. Absolute time‐series profiling with Bayesian generalized Lotka–Volterra modeling identifies bond‐specific microbial responders, while monoculture validation and metaproteomics reveal linkage‐matched transport and cleavage modules.

Using DIMet for Differential Analysis of Labeled Metabolomics Data: A Step-by-step Guide Showcasing the Glioblastoma Metabolism

open access: yesBio-Protocol
Stable-isotope resolved metabolomics (SIRM) is a powerful approach for characterizing metabolic states in cells and organisms. By incorporating isotopes, such as 13C, into substrates, researchers can trace reaction rates across specific metabolic ...

YTHDC1 Orchestrates Glucose and Glutamate Rewiring to Overcome Lethal Metabolic Stress in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lai et al. find that m6A reader YTHDC1 is specifically overexpressed in triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) and orchestrates glucose and glutamine metabolism in an m6A‐dependent manner to confer robust adaptability to lethal metabolic stress. Leveraging YTHDC1 knockdown‐induced metabolic vulnerability, an ATF4 mRNA‐targeted nanotherapy is developed to

Understanding and Regulating C–N Coupling Pathways for Electrocatalytic Urea Synthesis From CO2 and NO3−/NO2−

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Understanding and regulating C–N coupling is central to electrocatalytic urea synthesis from CO2 and NO3−/NO2−. This review outlines representative coupling pathways, summarizes carbon‐ and nitrogen‐side intermediate regulation strategies, and highlights in situ/operando tools for mechanistic clarification and catalyst design. ABSTRACT Electrocatalytic

Measuring terrestrial fluxes of methyl chloride and methyl bromide using a stable isotope tracer technique

open access: yes, 2003
Atmospheric methyl chloride (CH3Cl) and methyl bromide (CH3Br), compounds involved in the destruction of stratospheric ozone, are simultaneously produced and consumed by the terrestrial biosphere.
