Student-Project Allocation with Preferences over Projects [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We study the problem of allocating students to projects, where both students and lecturers have preferences over projects, and both projects and lecturers have capacities.

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

Two-Stage Stable Matching Based Dynamic Spectrum Allocation in Heterogeneous Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper addresses the resource allocation problem for small cells in the two-tier heterogeneous networks (HetNets) with non-independent resource blocks (RBs) usability, which is prevalent in HetNets application.

Von Neuman-Morgenstern farsightedly stable sets in two-sided matching [PDF]

open access: yes
We adopt the notion of von Neumann-Morgenstern farsightedly stable sets to predict with matchings are possibly stable when agents are farsighted in one-to-one matching problems.

Stable Matching I

open access: yes, 2021
In mathematics, economics, and computer science, the stable marriage problem (also stable matching problem or SMP) is the problem of finding a stable matching between two equally sized sets of elements given an ordering of preferences for each element. A matching is a bijection from the elements of one set to the elements of the other set.

Liquid biopsy epigenetics: establishing a molecular profile based on cell‐free DNA

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) fragments in plasma from cancer patients carry epigenetic signatures reflecting their cells of origin. These epigenetic features include DNA methylation, nucleosome modifications, and variations in fragmentation. This review describes the biological properties of each feature and explores optimal strategies for harnessing cfDNA ...

Designing for diversity: team formation and participatory policy design

open access: yesPolicy Design and Practice
Participatory policy design benefits from tools that engage diverse voices. One emerging tool is the civic hackathon, which brings together diverse participants to co-develop policy ideas.

Von Neumann-Morgenstern farsightedly stable sets in two-sided matching. [PDF]

open access: yes
We adopt the notion of von Neumann-Morgenstern farsightedly stable sets to predict which matchings are possibly stable when agents are farsighted in one-to-one matching problems.

Class IIa HDACs forced degradation allows resensitization of oxaliplatin‐resistant FBXW7‐mutated colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...
