Rapid determination method of minimum stable topological plate thickness in topology optimization of complex hull structures

open access: yesZhongguo Jianchuan Yanjiu, 2021
ObjectivesThe design domain for the topological optimization of ship structures is usually based on two-dimensional shell elements. However, the thickness difference of the design domain affects the setting of volume fraction constraints and the ...

On the Generating Hypothesis in Noncommutative Stable Homotopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Freyd's Generating Hypothesis is an important problem in topology with deep structural consequences for finite stable homotopy. Due to its complexity some recent work has examined analogous questions in various other triangulated categories.

Stable Thickenings in the Topological Category [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1971
A thickening, in the topological category, of a complex K is an equivalence class of simple homotopy equivalences gO:K--M, where M is a topological manifold with boundary. Here it is shown that for stable thickenings (dim M>>dim K), the set 3(K) of stable thickenings is in 1-1 correspondence with homotopy classes of maps of K into BTop.

Dual Topology of the Melanocortin-2 Receptor Accessory Protein (MRAP) Is Stable

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology, 2016
MRAP (melanocortin 2 receptor accessory protein) facilitates trafficking of melanocortin 2 (MC2) receptors and is essential for ACTH binding and signaling. MRAP is a single transmembrane domain protein that forms antiparallel homodimers.

Distributed Detour Routing Scheme for Link Failure with Minimized Overhead in LEO Satellite Networks

open access: yesSensors, 2023
The mobility of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites causes the LEO satellite network to experience topology changes. Topology change includes periodic topology change that occurs naturally and unpredictable topology change that occurs due to instability of ...

High frequency electronic ballast provides line frequency lamp current [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Most electronic ballasts for fluorescent lamps provide a sinusoidal lamp current at the switching frequency. The high-frequency current flowing through the lamp can generate significant radiated noise, which is unacceptable in noise-sensitive ...

Fixed points of topologically stable flows [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1986
This paper concerns certain necessary conditions for a flow to be topologically stable (in the sense of P. Walters). In particular, it is shown that under fairly general conditions one can conclude that a topologically stable flow has a finite number of fixed points, and each of these is isolated in the chain recurrent set of the flow.

The Design and Optimization of a Wireless Power Transfer System Allowing Random Access for Multiple Loads

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
As is common in multi-load wireless power transfer (WPT) systems based on series–series compensation topology, the power received by loads and the efficiency of the process are highly sensitive to changes in the number of loads.

Hyperbolic flows are topologically stable [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 1991
We show that any hyperbolic flow (X, π) on a metric space X is topologically stable by showing that it is expansive and has the chain-tracing property.
