On the number of pancake stacks requiring four flips to be sorted
Using existing classification results for the 7- and 8-cycles in the pancake graph, we determine the number of permutations that require 4 pancake flips (prefix reversals) to be sorted. A similar characterization of the 8-cycles in the burnt pancake graph, due to the authors, is used to derive a formula for the number of signed permutations requiring 4

Objective Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) significantly impacts employment capacity. This study aimed to investigate the impact of burden of disease activity, damage, and treatment on employment outcomes and transitions in patients with SLE. Methods Using data from a single center, we analyzed employment transitions, adjusted mean disease activity ...

Stack sort: a new approach with sorting network and a buffer
Knuth introduced the problem of stack sorting. Stack sorting was implemented by t stacks in series. In this paper, we propose a new dimension to stack sorting problem by introducing a stack with sorting network and a petty buffer. Instead of using t stacks in series, it helps to improve the performance by avoiding shuffles the stack.

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

Sorting permutations using a pop stack with a bypass
We introduce a new sorting device for permutations which makes use of a pop stack augmented with a bypass operation. This results in a sorting machine, which is more powerful than the usual Popstacksort algorithm and seems to have never been investigated previously.

dynoGP: Deep Gaussian Processes for Dynamic System Identification
This work introduces a novel class of deep models for system identification, dynamical deep Gaussian processes, which combine the strengths of data‐driven methods, such as those based on neural network architectures, with the ability to output a probability distribution for uncertainty representation.

STACK trifft H5P – interaktives, audiovisuelles Feedback in STACK-Aufgaben basierend auf H5P
Verschiedene Gruppen arbeiten an Erweiterungen klassischer STACK-Aufgaben. Noch nicht ausreichend berücksichtigt wurde die Integration von audiovisuellem Feedback, das zu den lernförderlichsten Faktoren zählt.
