The Destructive Stackelberg Competition Model

SSRN Electronic Journal, 2015
This paper proves that the Stackelberg extension has turned the Cournot duopoly model into a perfectly competitive one. The reason for this killing lies with the homogenous goods produced by the duopolists. They are not truly duopolists. Stackelberg helps destroy the traditional duopoly or oligopoly model.

Modeling Multileader–Follower Noncooperative Stackelberg Games

Cybernetics and Systems, 2016
This paper presents a Stackelberg–Nash game for modeling multiple leaders and followers. The model involves two Nash games restricted by a Stackelberg game. We propose a computational approach to find the equilibrium point based on the extraproximal method for ergodic controlled finite Markov chains.

International Stackelberg model with tariffs

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2012
This paper analyses the effects of tariffs on an international economy with a monopolistic sector with two firms, located in two countries, each one producing a homogeneous good for both home consumption and export to the other identical country. We consider a game among governments and firms.

Modeling Adversarial Learning as Nested Stackelberg Games

2016
Many data mining applications potentially operate in an adversarial environment where adversaries adapt their behavior to evade detection. Typically adversaries alter data under their control to cause a large divergence of distribution between training and test data.

Asymmetric Model of the Quantum Stackelberg Duopoly

Chinese Physics Letters, 2013
A more efficient model of the quantum Stackelberg duopoly is proposed by using the asymmetric quantization scheme of Qin et al. In this model, two entanglement factors α and γ are introduced, which greatly expands the functions of the previously reported symmetric one.

A Stackelberg Game Model for Botnet Data Exfiltration

2017
Cyber-criminals can distribute malware to control computers on a networked system and leverage these compromised computers to perform their malicious activities inside the network. Botnet-detection mechanisms, based on a detailed analysis of network traffic characteristics, provide a basis for defense against botnet attacks.

Stackelberg Duopoly Models Reconsidered

1976
In spite of the extensive works done on problems of the Cournot (or Cournot-type) oligopoly models, dynamic analysis of’duopoly model formulated by H.von Stackelberg(1934) has almost been outside the scope of concern of economists. J.M.Henderson and R.E.Quandt(1958) in now a classic on mathematical microeconomics have given an excellent summary of ...
