A Novel Current-Source-Based Gate Driver With Active Voltage Balancing Control for Series-Connected GaN HEMTs

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Power Electronics, 2021
The voltage rating of the commercial Gallium Nitride (GaN) power devices are limited to 600/650 V due to the lateral structure. Stacking the low-voltage rating devices is a straightforward approach to block higher dc link voltage. However, the unbalanced

Detection of Oral Beta-Lactam Antibiotics Using a Taste Sensor with Surface-Modified Lipid/Polymer Membranes

open access: yesChemosensors
In our previous study, a taste sensor modified with 3-bromo-2,6-dihydroxybenzoic acid (3-Br-2,6-DHBA) exhibited significant responses to xanthine-based substances, suggesting an allosteric detection mechanism. This study investigates the potential of the

Stratified Metamodeling to Predict Concrete Compressive Strength Using an Optimized Dual-Layered Architectural Framework

open access: yesMathematical and Computational Applications
Concrete is one of the most commonly used construction materials worldwide, and its compressive strength is the most important mechanical property to be defined at the time of structural design.

A Stacking-Based Model for Non-Invasive Detection of Coronary Heart Disease

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Coronary arteriongraphy (CAG) is an accurate invasive technique for the diagnosis of coronary heart disease (CHD). However, its invasive procedure is not appropriate for the detection of CHD in the annual physical examination.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

The Hilbert stack

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematics, 2014
Let π: X -> S be a morphism of algebraic stacks that is locally of finite presentation with affine stabilizers. We prove that there is an algebraic S-stack, the Hilbert stack, parameterizing proper algebraic stacks mapping quasi-finitely to X. This was previously unknown, even for a morphism of schemes.

Stacking data analysis method for Langmuir multi-probe payload

open access: yesFrontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences
There are numerous small-scale electron density irregularities in the ionosphere. The coordination of multiple needle Langmuir probes (m-NLPs) enables in situ measurement of electron density with high spatial resolution. However, the theoretical analysis

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
