Acid-soluble nucleotides of human milk at different stages of lactation

Journal of Dairy Research, 1982
SUMMARYThe acid-soluble ribonucleotides of human milk were measured by enzymic and ion-exchange chromatographic procedures at different stages of lactation. Human colostrum and milk contained CMP, AMP, GMP, UMP, GDP-mannose, UDP-N-acetyl-glucosamine, UDP-N-acetyl-galactosamine, UDP-glucose, UDP-galactose, UDP and other minor nucleotides.

Nucleotides in canine colostrum and milk at different stages of lactation

Archives of Animal Nutrition, 2010
The aim of this study was to investigate the presence of nucleotides in canine colostrum and milk during lactation. Colostrum and milk samples of 10 healthy bitches were collected manually from mammary glands and analysed for total milk solids, crude protein and adenosine 5'-monophosphate (AMP), cytidine 5'-monophosphate (CMP), guanosine 5 ...

Bovine milk gangliosides: Changes in ceramide moiety with stage of lactation

Lipids, 2001
AbstractThe stage of lactation is one of the most important factors that influence milk composition. Changes in fatty acids from triacylglycerols and phospholipids have already been reported. In this study, we looked for a lactational change in the ganglioside lipid moeity since ganglioside contents and patterns vary strongly with stage of lactation ...

Comprehensive lipidomic profiling of human milk from lactating women across varying lactation stages and gestational ages

Food Chemistry
An untargeted lipidomic analysis was conducted to investigate the lipid composition of human milk across different lactation stages and gestational ages systematically. A total of 25 lipid subclasses and 934 lipid species as well as 90 free fatty acids were identified.

Lactational responses of dairy cows to changes in dietary protein fed at different stages of lactation

Proceedings of the British Society of Animal Production (1972), 1990
There is evidence from a range of experiments of increases in milk production, including improvements in milk protein content, to additional dietary inclusions of low degradability ‘animal’ protein sources. This experiment was designed to examine the effect of stage of lactation on the response of dairy cows to increased dietary protein. The continuous ...

Glucose clearance studies in lactating cows: influence of stage of lactation and ration composition

2017
Glucose pool size (PS), pool space (PV) and clearance rate (CR) vere determined for eight first-lactation Holstein cows at three lactation stages [early (E) = 75-100 days, late (L) = 205-250 days, and dry (D) ]. A corn silage-based ration (15% CP, 22% ADP) was fed ad libitum during lactation and at maintenance during D, using 4-hr feeding intervals ...
