Staged and Late-Period Reconstruction of the Crushed Hand
Annals of Plastic Surgery, 2007The principle of controlled utilization of increased vascularity in the regions of artificially established ischemia constituted the basis of prefabrication of the vascular induction through staged transfers. We have used this principle, and a part of a metacarpal bone was prefabricated with an artery.

Continuous protein refolding and purification by two-stage periodic counter-current chromatography
Journal of Chromatography A, 2023Matrix-assisted refolding (MAR) has been used as an alternative to conventional dilution-based refolding to improve recovery and reduce specific buffer consumption. Size exclusion chromatography (SEC) has been extensively used for MAR because of its ability to load and refold proteins at high concentrations.

On the Concepts of Period, Phase, Stage, and Level
Human Development, 1982The terms, period, phase, stage, and level – all frequent in the literature on development – are examined in order to specify conceptual differences. The authors suggest that while level has no inherent temporal component, the other three refer to stretches of time and should be differentiated according to whether or not they refer to (a) part of a ...

Preharvest Interval Periods and their relation to fruit growth stages and pesticide formulations
Food Chemistry, 2017The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of pesticide formulations and fruit growth stages on the Pre-harvest Interval Period (PHI). Results showed that pesticide formulations did not affect the initial deposit and dissipation rate. However, the fruit growth stage at the application time showed a significant effect on the above-mentioned ...
