Evaluation of the aerothermodynamic field produced by a pseudospheric body of mercury type at M = 22.6 flying in air in thermodynamic equilibrium

open access: yesAnnals of Geophysics, 1963
Tlie differential equations valid after tlie shock are first
given in curvilinear coordinates; the cbosen unknowns are the two velocity
components and the entropy and enthalpy.

Multiscale Acoustic Bubble Actuators Using Bioinspired Liquid‐Repellent Microstructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
The article presents multiscale acoustic bubble actuators using bioinspired liquid‐repellent microstructures, enabling programmable trapping, pumping, mixing, and precise flow control. Mimicking springtail microstructures, these scalable actuators (200 µm–1 mm) offer multifunctionality in all‐in‐one devices, letter‐shaped arrays, and 3D cube ...

Computational Analysis on the Performance of Centrifugal Compressor with Tapered Wall and Rotating Tapered Wall Vaneless Diffuser

open access: yesJournal of Applied Fluid Mechanics, 2021
Computational analysis is performed on a centrifugal compressor fitted with tapered vaneless diffuser in order to increase the rate of diffusion. The main parameter involved in the present study is the wall taper angle of the diffuser, which is varied ...

Architecture of an All‐In‐One Microfluidic Platform for Accelerated Cancer Seeding, Enhanced Spheroid Formation, and Dynamic Drug Screening Trials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one microfluidic platform consists of two‐layered PDMS channels integrated with a hydrogel microwell array. This platform enables flow‐driven tumor cell capture, enhanced spheroid formation within the microwells, and advective drug testing. ABSTRACT Effective cancer drug screening requires platforms that replicate the physiological complexity

Characterization of Droplet Formation in Ultrasonic Spray Coating: Influence of Ink Formulation Using Phase Doppler Anemometry and Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study explores how machine learning models, trained on small experimental datasets obtained via Phase Doppler Anemometry (PDA), can accurately predict droplet size (D32) in ultrasonic spray coating (USSC). By capturing the influence of ink complexity (solvent, polymer, nanoparticles), power, and flow rate, the model enables precise droplet control

Flow Field in the Turbine Rotor Passage in an Automotive Torque Converter Based on the High Frequency Response Rotating Five-hole Probe Measurement Part I: Flow Field at the Design Condition (Speed Ratio 0.6)

open access: yesInternational Journal of Rotating Machinery, 2001
The relative flow field in an automotive torque converter turbine was measured at three locations inside the passage (turbine 1/4 chord, mid-chord, and 4/4 chord) using a highfrequency response rotating five-hole-probe.

NARFL Knockout Triggers Ferroptosis‐Driven Vascular Endothelial Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NARFL is vital for CIA and oxidative stress resistance. NARFL deletion in HPMEC cells, zebrafish, and mice is lethal and rescued by a Ferroptosis inhibitor. NARFL deficiency disrupted its interaction with CIA proteins, decreased aconitase activity, increased IRP1 activity, induced Fe overload, and led to ferroptosis and oxidative stress, resulting in ...

OPTRACE: Optical Imaging–Guided Transplantation and Tracking of Cells in the Mouse Brain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
OPTRACE establishes an optical, two‐step platform for intracerebral cell therapy. Transparent glass pipettes enable real‐time, image‐guided delivery, while multiplex genetic labeling with two‐photon and bioluminescence readouts supports longitudinal single‐cell tracking and host–graft dynamics.

On the influence of the nozzle external configuration on the radiated screech and the decay of supersonic jets

open access: yesArchives of Acoustics, 2016
The behaviour of screeching jets exhausting from an axisymmetric con-vergent-divergent nozzle was studied. The nozzle had a 2.9 mm throat diameter and a. 1.95 theoretical exit Mach number.
