Study on Texture and Grain Orientation Evolution in Cold-Rolled BCC Steel by Reaction Stress Model

open access: yesCrystals, 2020
The evolution of texture and grain orientations in a cold-rolled steel of BCC structure was simulated by a reaction stress (RS) model. The results show that cold-rolled texture could be assessed based on a RS model because the stress and strain are ...

EBSD Study of Creep‐Induced Lattice Misorientation in MgO‐Particle‐Reinforced Austenitic Steel Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Creep experiments at 900°C on coarse‐grained steel‐ceramic composites containing recycled magnesia reveal that higher ceramic volume fractions significantly enhance the creep resistance. Detailed EBSD investigations identify subgrain formation in the steel matrix as the dominant deformation mechanism.

Torsion vibration model and vibration character analysis of rolling skid based on the twenty-high rolling mill

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2021
The fluctuation of rolling speed and the torsion variation of the main drive shaft are inevitable in the rolling process, which leads to the rolling skid between the roll and the strip.

Characterization of a Recyclate‐Based MgO‐Steel Composite As‐Sintered Inert Anode Candidate After Exposure to Cryolite Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Carbon‐free inert anodes are essential for decarbonizing aluminum electrolysis. This study investigates a recyclate‐based MgO‐316L steel composite anode tested under galvanostatic Hall–Héroult conditions in cryolite at 1000°C. Microstructural analysis reveals selective MgO fluorination, spinel and oxide layer formation, electrolyte infiltration, and ...
