Developing strong and sustainable materials is essential for reducing reliance on metals and lowering carbon emissions. Inspired by how plants naturally harden their cell walls, we created a rapid process that transforms bamboo into an ultra‐hard structural material by rebuilding lignin‐like networks within its structure.

Corrosive Metabolic Activity of Desulfovibrio sp. on 316L Stainless Steel
The present study investigated the effects of chemical parameters (SO4 2−, PO4 3−, Cl−, pH) and the contents of extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) regarding the growth of Desulfovibrio sp. on the microbiologically induced corrosion of 316L stainless steel (SS).

FATIGUE BEHAVIOUR OF COPPER-BRAZED 316L STAINLESS STEEL
The plate heat exchanger (PHE) is a component that provides heat to be transferred from hot water to domestic cold water without mixing them with high efficiency. Over the lifetime of the PHE, cyclic pressure acts on the brazing points and the plates, and this may lead to fatigue failure.

Sensitisation Study of Normalized 316L Stainless Steel
Austenitic stainless steels with excellent corrosion resistance and good weldability have wide applications in industry. These iron-based alloys contain a high level of chromium which form protective oxide film on the surface hence resisting corrosion. The oxide film regenerates when damaged, making the steel 'stainless'. However, carbide precipitation
