The role of each Mn site in the Na3‐xMn[Mn(CN)6]·zH2O compounds’ redox activity was investigated using a combined experimental–computational approach, which shows that only the low‐spin Mn‐C site undergoes redox changes (Mn1+ to Mn4+), while high‐spin Mn‐N remains unchanged. The study confirms the presence of the Mn1+ intermediate and newly reveals its

A machine learning‐guided self‐driving laboratory screened over 500 nickel‐based layered double‐hydroxide catalysts for alkaline oxygen evolution. Out of the eight metals, the robot uncovered a quaternary Ni–Fe–Cr–Co catalysts requiring only 231 mV overpotential to reach 20 mA cm−2.

Manifestation of reactivation of the electrode surface in staircase cyclic voltammetry
An oxidation peak in the cathodic branch of cyclic voltammogram can be explained by the reversible deactivation and reactivation of electrode surface. This phenomenon could be caused by the potential dependent adsorption of the product of irreversible electrode reaction.

Effect of supporting electrolytes on voltammetry with manual staircase voltage scan
The minimal instrumentation voltammetry with manual staircase voltage scan allows to obtain electrochemical results with non-commercial equipment. Several researches have demonstrated its analytical and metrological validity; however, some variables have not been studied in this kind of methods, such as the effect of the supporting electrolyte on the ...

The Redox Couple of the Cytochrome \u3cem\u3ec\u3c/em\u3e Cyanide Complex: The Contribution of Heme Iron Ligation to the Structural Stability, Chemical Reactivity, and Physiological Behavior of Horse Cytochrome \u3cem\u3ec\u3c/em\u3e [PDF]
Contrary to most heme proteins, ferrous cytochrome c does not bind ligands such as cyanide and CO. In order to quantify this observation, the redox potential of the ferric/ferrous cytochrome c–cyanide redox couple was determined for the first time by ...

TiO2/MoO2 nanocomposite as anode materials for high power Li-ion batteries with exceptional capacity [PDF]
Nanoparticles of molybdenum(IV) oxide (MoO 2 ) and a TiO 2 /MoO 2 nanocomposite were synthesised via a continuous hydrothermal synthesis process. Both powders were analysed using XRD, XPS, TEM, and BET and evaluated as active materials in anodes for Li ...
