New Insights into Flow for a Low-Bypass-Ratio Transonic Fan with Optimized Rotor

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
In this paper, a three-dimensional aerodynamics optimization system is built and applied to optimize a rotor blade to balance the conflicts between stall margin, total pressure ratio, adiabatic efficiency, and mass flow rate for the high-loading and ...

A Dual‐Bioresponsive and Programmable Microneedle Matrix as a Bioinspired Coupler for Orchestrating Diabetic Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This project developed a smart bandage‐like patch (a microneedle array) for repairing diabetic bone damage. It intelligently senses signals from infection and inflammation, then releases its medicines in a specific, timed sequence: first an antibacterial agent, then an anti‐inflammatory agent, and finally growth factors.

Stall Margin Improvement of an Axial Flow Fan with End Wall Injection and Suction.

open access: yesTRANSACTIONS OF THE JAPAN SOCIETY OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERS Series B, 1999
The experimental studies are conducted to reveal the mechanism of stall margin improvement of an axial flow fan by injection or suction from the end wall. In case of injection, the largest improvement is obtained by the injection at about 0.14∼0.21 times axial chord length downstream from leading edge.

Performance Enhancement of a Transonic Axial Flow Compressor with Circumferential Casing Grooves to Improve the Stall Margin

open access: yesJournal of Applied Fluid Mechanics, 2020
The stability range of the gas turbine engine compressors is being challenged in the modern days due to the intention of increasing per stage maximum loading. Casing treatment has been widely adopted as a realistic passive flow control means to improve the stall margin with a slight decrease of efficiency at the same time by various grooves of which ...

Stall Margin Prediction and Improvement for Mixed Flow Compressors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
RÉSUMÉ: Les instabilités aérodynamiques dans les compresseurs sous la forme du décrochage tournant (rotating stall) et du pompage (surge) sont des phénomènes connus qui limitent l'enveloppe d'opération des turbines à gaz.

Janus‐Type Electrostatic Potential Gradient‐Activated Dynamic Zn2+‐Coordinating Nitrogen Sites in Molecularly Locked Nanocellulose Separators for Stable Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional benzimidazole‐terminated CNF separator is constructed via a PEI‐mediated covalent locking strategy, generating dense zincophilic sites that accelerate Zn2+ transport and desolvation while enabling uniform Zn (002) deposition and suppressing side reactions.
