Agreement of stall‐side and laboratory major crossmatch tests with the reference standard method in horses

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary Internal Medicine, 2020
Background Crossmatching is used to prevent life‐threatening transfusion reactions in horses. Laboratory methods are laborious and technically challenging, which is impractical during emergencies.

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

On Adjectival Agreement in Standard Arabic

open access: yesForum for Linguistic Studies
In the language of Standard Arabic, the attributive adjective, which typically occurs postnominally, must fully agree with its modified noun in four morphological features: gender, number, case, and (in)definiteness features. Several diverse attempts have been provided in the literature to account for this type of agreement in Standard Arabic, most of ...

Agreement in Russian [PDF]

open access: yes, 1976
iv, 456 p. ; 23 cmAgreement in Contemporary Standard Russian was a tremendous book for its time. I relied heavily upon it the first time I got to teach Russian syntax (in 1987), and even today I continue to draw examples from its extensive corpus in ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Consumer Protection In Power Purchase Agreement In Standard Agreement Perspective

open access: yesJurnal Independent
Solar energy provides consumers with the ability to generate their own electricity, Indonesia has 0.31 GW of solar power capacity, just shy of 0.03 percent of its total solar potential. Looking forward, the country plans to add up to 4.5 GW of solar capacity by 2030 in the PLN's Electricity Business Plan (RUPTL) 2021-2030, In the power purchase ...
