Monitoring multinomial processes based on a weighted chi-square control chart
: Interpreting an out-of-control signal is a crucial step in monitoring categorical processes. For the Chi-Square Control Chart (CSCC), an out-of control situation does not specify if it was a process deterioration or a process improvement.

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Image analysis tools for the assessment of carbon anodes : a thesis presented in fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Technology in Manufacturing and Industrial Technology at Massey University [PDF]
The energy efficiency and performance of an aluminium smelter depends critically on the quality and consistency of properties of the carbon electrodes that are consumed during the normal operation of the electrolytic cells or "pots".

Chronic dietary intake of enniatin B in broiler chickens has low impact on intestinal morphometry and hepatic histology, and shows limited transfer to liver tissue [PDF]
The Fusarium mycotoxin enniatin B (ENN B) is a so-called emerging mycotoxin frequently contaminating poultry feed. To investigate the impact of chronic ENN B exposure on animal health, broiler chickens were fed either a diet naturally contaminated with ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

New version of PLNoise: a package for exact numerical simulation of power-law noises [PDF]
In a recent paper I have introduced a package for the exact simulation of power-law noises and other colored noises (E. Milotti, Comput. Phys. Commun. {\bf 175} (2006) 212): in particular the algorithm generates $1/f^\alpha$ noises with $0 < \alpha \leq ...

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

New Cumulative Sum Control Chart for Monitoring Poisson Processes
The cumulative sum (CUSUM) control charts are widely used for measurement control of continuous processes. However, the quality characteristics of interest in many production processes, follows a sequence of discrete counts for non-conformities often ...

We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.
