Development of a national, standardized simulation case template [PDF]

open access: yesCJEM, 2020
ABSTRACTEmergency medicine (EM) training programs incorporate simulation for teaching as well as formative and summative assessment. The development of a simulation curriculum for Canadian postgraduate EM programs is underway and would be facilitated by a standardized, user-friendly, nationally endorsed simulation template.

Improved diagnosis of the transition to JAK2 (V⁶¹⁷F) homozygosity: the key feature for predicting the evolution of myeloproliferative neoplasms. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Most cases of BCR-ABL1-negative myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), essential thrombocythemia, polycythemia vera and primary myelofibrosis are associated with JAK2 (V617F) mutations.

MCSTL [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 12th ACM SIGPLAN symposium on Principles and practice of parallel programming, 2007
Future gain in computing performance will not stem from increased clock rates, but from even more cores in a processor. Since automatic parallelization is still limited to easily parallelizable sections of the code, most applications will soon have to support parallelism explicitly.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
