Standing wave Spectrometer

open access: yesOptics Express, 2010
A standing wave Fourier transform spectrometer is realized. The spectrometer consists of an ultra thin and partially transparent photodetector and a tunable mirror. The incident light forms a standing wave in front of the mirror, which is sampled by the ultra thin optical detector.

Analytical Modeling and Performance Study of a Piezoelectric Laminated Annular Plate for Rotary Energy Harvesting

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
A piezoelectric energy harvester based on the standing wave vibration of a piezoelectric laminated annular plate is proposed in this article. It can convert the rotary energy into the standing wave vibration energy of the piezoelectric laminated annular ...

Standing Wave Field Distribution in Graded-Index Antireflection Coatings

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
Standing wave field distributions in three classic types of graded-index antireflection coatings are studied. These graded-index antireflection coatings are designed at wavelengths from 200 nm to 1200 nm, which is the working wavelength range of high ...

Dynamic response and liquefaction potential of porous seabed induced by partial standing ocean waves

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
The analysis of ocean wave-induced dynamic response of a porous seabed is particularly important for coastal and geotechnical engineers when designing and constructing maritime structures. In this study, an analytical solution is presented to analyze the

Standing-wave thermoacoustic engines

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2012
The aim of this study is mainly devoted to explain a thermoacoustic effect. We explore the basic principles of thermoacoustic engines and primarily we focus on a quarter-wavelength closed-open thermoacoustic engine as a prime mover, where temperature ...

Experiments Validating the Effectiveness of Multi-point Wireless Energy Transmission with Carrier Shift Diversity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper presents a method to seamlessly extend the coverage of energy supply field for wireless sensor networks in order to free sensors from wires and batteries, where the multi-point scheme is employed to overcome path-loss attenuation, while the ...

Standing Waves

open access: yes, 2021
This is an discussion of Schroedinger's 1926 paper. Further calculations in the book can be replicated by the javascript at http://spectrograph.uk attempting the visible spectrum of every atom and ion from wave equations. The subsequent notions of 'spin groups' and 'gauge cocycles' arose because O(1) is not equivariant for automorphims of the Riemann ...

Enhancement of the spin pumping efficiency by spin-wave mode selection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The spin pumping efficiency of lateral standing spin wave modes in a rectangular YIG/Pt sample has been investigated by means of the inverse spin-Hall effect (ISHE).

Wave attenuation by flattened vegetation (Scirpus mariqueter)

open access: yesFrontiers in Marine Science, 2023
With the capacity to reduce wave energy and trap sediment, Scirpus mariqueter has become an important native species of annual grass for ecology restoration at the Yangtze Estuary in eastern China. Due to seasonal variances of biophysical characteristics,
