Fast Convergent Lyapunov Vector Field Guidance for Standoff Target Tracking

2019 Chinese Control And Decision Conference (CCDC), 2019
To address the problem of long convergence time of the conventional Lyapunov vector field guidance (LVFG), a fast convergent LVFG using guidance function is proposed. The necessary properties of fast convergent vector field is illustrated based on analysis of curvature.

Standoff lidar simulation for biological warfare agent detection, tracking, and classification

SPIE Proceedings, 2010
Lidar has been identified as a promising sensor for remote detection of biological warfare agents (BWA). Elastic IR lidar can be used for cloud detection at long ranges and UV laser induced fluorescence can be used for discrimination of BWA against naturally occurring aerosols.

Cooperative Standoff Tracking of Uncertain Moving Targets using Active Robot Networks

Proceedings 2007 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2007
This paper presents a coordination scheme for standoff tracking of an uncertain moving target by cooperating mobile robots with range and bearing sensors. An algorithm is described that transforms a guidance vector field developed for loitering about circular patterns into a vector field that tracks ellipses.

A virtual force approach for cooperative standoff target tracking using multiple robots

2016 Chinese Control and Decision Conference (CCDC), 2016
This paper presents a virtual force approach for cooperative standoff tracking of a stationary target using multiple robots. Each robot is governed by virtual forces, namely, virtual centripetal force, virtual spring forces and virtual drag forces. The virtual centripetal force counteracts the effect of the centrifugal force and ensures each robot ...

Adaptive phased-array tracking in the standoff jammer using H infinity filter

2013 Fourth International Conference on Intelligent Control and Information Processing (ICICIP), 2013
A weighted sum H infinity filter algorithm is proposed for target tracking in the standoff jammer (SOJ). The algorithm takes full use of the jamming information by using an appropriate sensor model to improve the tracking accuracy when no measurement is received.
