Temporal and Ecological Factors Influencing Aquatic Hyphomycetes in a Tropical Headwater Stream
ABSTRACT Aquatic hyphomycetes are key decomposers in headwater streams, yet their temporal dynamics in tropical systems remain poorly understood due to the scarcity of long‐term studies. Here, we investigated the temporal variation of aquatic hyphomycete communities in a tropical Atlantic Forest stream over 5 years, evaluating the relative influence of

Avascular Necrosis of Stapes Crura in One Case of Operated Otosclerosis
Unilateral otosclerosis combined with avascular necrosis of stapes crura is a rare entity. It should be considered in a case of high grade otosclerosis. Symptoms are the same as in patients who suffer from common otosclerosis.

ABSTRACT Pediatric cholesteatoma is an aggressive but uncommon middle ear condition characterized by keratinizing squamous epithelium that can progressively erode adjacent structures. It is associated with faster bone destruction and higher recurrence rates in children than adults, and its symptoms often resemble chronic otitis media, which may delay ...

The phylogenetic position of oviraptorosaurs close to birds makes them a key group for understanding the acquisition of avian senses. Here, we describe the first inner ear endocasts for caenagnathids, a major subclade of oviraptorosaurs, which demonstrates that labyrinth morphology varied more than expected within oviraptorosaurs.

One factor for the lacking integration of the middle ear stapes footplate prosthesis or the missing healing of stapes footplate fractures could be the known osteogenic inactivity. In contrast, it was recently demonstrated that titanium prostheses with an
