Kinesin-Induced Buckling Reveals the Limits of Microtubule Self-Repair. [PDF]
This study shows that kinesin‐driven buckling induces extensive microtubule lattice damage that often exceeds intrinsic self‐repair and leads to filament failure. While curvature, motor motility, and force individually cause limited damage, their combination overwhelms repair.

Beyond the Black Box: Reproductive Strategies of the Black Soldier Fly as a Model for Bridging Evolutionary Biology and Applied Entomology. [PDF]
ABSTRACT The black soldier fly (BSF; Hermetia illucens) is rapidly emerging as a model for evolutionary biology and insect biotechnology. Although larval biology has been extensively characterised, the reproductive biology of adults remains comparatively understudied.

In this paper we define and investigate nearly Hurewicz spaces and their star version. It is shown that a nearly Hurewicz space fits between Hurewicz and almost Hurewicz spaces.

Absolutely strongly star-Hurewicz spaces
A space X is absolutely strongly star-Hurewicz if for each sequence (Un :n ∈ℕ/ of open covers of X and each dense subset D of X, there exists a sequence (Fn :n ∈ℕ/ of finite subsets of D such that for each x ∈X, x ∈St(Fn; Un) for all but finitely many n.

A Coarse Geometric Approach to Graph Layout Problems
ABSTRACT We define a range of new coarse geometric invariants based on various graph–theoretic measures of complexity for finite graphs, including treewidth, pathwidth, cutwidth and bandwidth. We prove that, for bounded degree graphs, these invariants can be used to define functions which satisfy a strong monotonicity property, namely, they are ...

Some remarks on Pixley-Roy hyperspaces
In this paper, we study cellular-compact, cellular-Lindel\"of, strongly star-Hurewicz, strongly star-Rothberger, strongly star-Menger spaces on hyperspaces with the Pixley-Roy topology.

Remarks on neighborhood star-Menger spaces
Summary: A space \(X\) is said to be neighborhood star-Menger if for every sequence \((\mathcal{U}_n :n\in\mathbb{N})\) of open covers of \(X\) one can choose finite \(A_n \subseteq X, n\in\mathbb{N}\) such that for every open \(O_n \supseteq A_n, n\in\mathbb{N}, \{ \operatorname{St}(O_n,\mathcal{U}_n):n\in\mathbb{N}\}\) is an open cover of \(X\).

ABSTRACT In this paper we define a degree for ends of infinite digraphs. The well‐definedness of our definition in particular resolves a problem by Zuther. Furthermore, we extend our notion of end degree to also respect, among others, the vertices dominating the end, which we denote as combined end degree.
