Inflaton clusters and inflaton stars [PDF]
In a broad class of scenarios, inflation is followed by an extended era of matter-dominated expansion during which the inflaton condensate is nonrelativistic on subhorizon scales. During this phase density perturbations grow to the point of nonlinearity and collapse into bound structures.

UOCS. XIII. Study of the Far-ultraviolet Bright Stars in the Open Cluster NGC 2420 Using AstroSat
We present the study of four far-ultraviolet (FUV) bright stars in the field of the open cluster NGC 2420 using the Ultra Violet Imaging Telescope mounted on AstroSat.

The spatial distribution of star and cluster formation in M51
Aims. We study the connection between spatially resolved star formation and young star clusters across the disc of M51. Methods. We combine star cluster data based on B, V, and I-band Hubble Space Telescope ACS imaging, together with new WFPC2 U-band ...

An Investigation of Open Clusters Berkeley 68 and Stock 20 Using CCD UBV and Gaia DR3 Data
We performed detailed photometric and astrometric analyses of the open star clusters Berkeley 68 and Stock 20. This was based on ground-based CCD UBV photometric data complemented by space-based Gaia Data Release 3 (DR3) photometry and astrometry.

A comprehensive set of simulations studying the influence of gas expulsion on star cluster evolution
We have carried out a large set of N-body simulations studying the effect of residual-gas expulsion on the survival rate and final properties of star clusters.

Lithopanspermia in Star-Forming Clusters [PDF]
This paper considers the lithopanspermia hypothesis in star forming groups and clusters, where the chances of biological material spreading from one solar system to another is greatly enhanced (relative to the field) due to the close proximity of the systems and lower relative velocities. These effects more than compensate for the reduced time spent in

We present a photometric analysis of globular cluster 47 Tuc (NGC 104) using near-IR imaging data from the GeMS/GSAOI Galactic Globular Cluster Survey (G4CS), which is in operation at Gemini-South telescope.

Star clusters as building blocks for dSph galaxies formation
We study numerically the formation of dSph galaxies. Intense star bursts, e.g. in gas-rich environments, typically produce a few to a few hundred young star clusters, within a region of just a few hundred pc.

Most of the dynamical mass loss from star clusters is thought to be caused by the time variability of the tidal field (“tidal shocks”). Systematic studies of tidal shocks have been hampered by the fact that each tidal history is unique, implying both a ...

Wide-field and deep DECam multiband photometry, combined with HST data for the core of the Galactic globular cluster NGC 2808, allowed us to study the distribution of various stellar subpopulations and stars in different evolutionary phases out to the ...
