Rotational-Shearing-Interferometer Response for a Star-Planet System without Star Cancellation
The Rotational Shearing Interforometer has been proposed for direct detection of extra-solar planets. This interferometer cancels the star radiation using destructive interference.

Optical Parameters Optimization for All-Time Star Sensor
As an important development direction of star sensor technology, the All-Time star sensor technology can expand the application of star sensors to flight platforms inside the atmosphere. Due to intense atmospheric background radiation during the daytime,

NEW X-RAY DETECTIONS OF WNL STARS [PDF]
Previous studies have demonstrated that putatively single nitrogen-type Wolf-Rayet stars (WN stars) without known companions are X-ray sources. However, almost all WN star X-ray detections so far have been of earlier WN2 - WN6 spectral subtypes. Later WN7 - WN9 subtypes (also known as WNL stars) have proved more difficult to detect, an important ...

On the Detection of Binary Be Stars [PDF]
Possible methods for detecting the presence of a cool companion to a Be star are discussed. Photometric observations are shown to be incapable of detecting companions in all but the most extreme cases. Spectroscopic investigation is also unlikely to yield many new discoveries.

Exposure Time Optimization for Highly Dynamic Star Trackers
Under highly dynamic conditions, the star-spots on the image sensor of a star tracker move across many pixels during the exposure time, which will reduce star detection sensitivity and increase star location errors.

An Object Detection Model for Paint Surface Detection Based on Improved YOLOv3
To solve the problem of poor performance of the target detection algorithm and false detection in the detection of paint surface defects of office chairs five-star feet, we propose a defect detection method based on the improved YOLOv3 algorithm. Firstly,

Radio detection of the Be star Persei [PDF]
The results of a VLA survey for radio emission from a sample of Be stars having strong excess emission in the IRAS bands are presented. Radio emission was detected from one star, Psi Persei. The radio flux density, together with nearly simultaneous ultraviolet and near-infrared observations, argue strongly against a spherically symmetric model for the ...

Structurally topological algorithm for star recognition and near-Earth space’ object detection [PDF]
When solving a variety of celestial navigation tasks there is a problem of determining parameters of spacecraft motion and onboard primary payload orientation based on the coordinates of registered star images.

Detections of Neutron Stars in the Extreme Ultraviolet [PDF]
Neutron stars were not expected to be observable in the extreme ultraviolet and hence their detection in this band is a surprise. More important is that EUV observations provide unique new information on these objects. In the accompanying Table 1, I list the neutron stars detected in the EUV with the Extreme Ultraviolet Explorer (EUVE).
