Note on the game chromatic index of trees [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We study edge coloring games defining the so-called game chromatic index of a graph. It has been reported that the game chromatic index of trees with maximum degree $\Delta = 3$ is at most $\Delta + 1$.

Evolutionary games on graphs and the speed of the evolutionary process [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, we investigate evolutionary games with the invasion process updating rules on three simple non-directed graphs: the star, the circle and the complete graph.

Quantum repeated games revisited [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We present a scheme for playing quantum repeated 2x2 games based on the Marinatto and Weber's approach to quantum games. As a potential application, we study twice repeated Prisoner's Dilemma game. We show that results not available in classical game can be obtained when the game is played in the quantum way.

Characterising and recognising game-perfect graphs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Consider a vertex colouring game played on a simple graph with $k$ permissible colours. Two players, a maker and a breaker, take turns to colour an uncoloured vertex such that adjacent vertices receive different colours.

Un lugar entre la tierra y las estrellas. Luces y sombras en la Torre Einstein

open access: yesCuadernos de Proyectos Arquitectónicos, 2011
<p>The Einstein Tower was built in 1921 at the Telegraphsberg in Potsdam with an unique purpose: the empirical demonstration (or refutation) of the basis for the Theory of Relativity by Albert Einstein.

Differential Hybrid Games [PDF]

open access: yesACM Transactions on Computational Logic 18(3), pages 19:1-19:44, 2017, 2015
This article introduces differential hybrid games, which combine differential games with hybrid games. In both kinds of games, two players interact with continuous dynamics. The difference is that hybrid games also provide all the features of hybrid systems and discrete games, but only deterministic differential equations.

Film beyond boundaries: film, migrant narratives and other media Film beyond boundaries: film, migrant narratives and other media

open access: yesIlha do Desterro, 2008
The articles here presented are representative of the debates about the various transformational aspects of film studies, fostering the discussion about the transformations and interactions between national and international narrative forms, the ...

Quantum games of opinion formation based on the Marinatto-Weber quantum game scheme [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Quantization becomes a new way to study classical game theory since quantum strategies and quantum games have been proposed. In previous studies, many typical game models, such as prisoner's dilemma, battle of the sexes, Hawk-Dove game, have been investigated by using quantization approaches.

Home‐Based Tele‐tDCS in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis: Feasibility, Safety, and Preliminary Efficacy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease with limited treatment options. Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) shows promise as a neuromodulatory intervention in various neurological disorders, but its application in ALS, particularly in a remote, home‐based format, remains underexplored.

Star Height via Games [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
This paper proposes a new algorithm deciding the star height problem. As shown by Kirsten, the star height problem reduces to a problem concerning automata with counters, called limitedness. The new contribution is a different algorithm for the limitedness problem, which reduces it to solving a Gale-Stewart game with an {\omega}-regular winning ...
